Can you build your own stronghold

Post by musicalassassin »

I heard you can build your own Sronghold in the later Legion missions is this true. Does anyone know if you can build one at all, and if yes how?

The Legion quests does not include a quest to build a stronghold, however, by joining one of the great houses (Hlallu, Redoran or Telvanni) you will eventually be tasked with the quest of building a stronghold.

Oh boy, now you've done it. I'm much too curious, you see. You'll have to come out and say what 42 is that answer to now.

Yep. Douglas Adams was a tremendous writer... but back on topic, of the three strongholds, Telvanni is probably the most useless, its in the middle of nowhere, and is awkward to get around, with Redoran you get some cool items, and Hlaalu is a lovely little location south of Balmora.

Agreed. Telvanni is the worst of the group as the layout is awkward, storage space is nil, you have to levitate to get to your bedroom (Or Mark it), go through a dozen doors, and the Dwemer Centurions inside sometimes block paths and get stuck in the halls. I hated it.
That and the fact I was living with a Vampire infested ruin just over a hill and was being blocked by a river of lava.

Redoran was so-so, simply because I found storing anything anywhere was a pain. I hate having other people in my house. :p

Hlaalu's location and setup is my favorite, but it was quite small and didn't have enough storage space. Still, I liked not living in the Ashlands. :)

I never used any of My Strongholds... They are all way out in the middle of nowhere... Telvanni more that any other ones. My favorite was hlaalu because it had the most scenic area. i hate hlaalus morals though...

Go Redoran

Is the stronghold even good looking? hmmmm.... should i start a brand new game just to get the top of a new house sand get a nicer stronghold? you found cons iwth every one, i dont really care about location, but which one is the best?

Telvanni has the most fun quests and the best rewards... And the stronghold does look pretty cool with the dwemer robots patrolling your stronghold... Plus there is a lady that sells scrolls of summon golden saint :D I like the stronghold its just not my favorite... They are all pretty good though

Alrighty, the lady in that hermitage who wants to build my stronghold, said to get her storm atronoch, winged twilight, or golden saint souls, seh said storm atronoch would be best, but that the others would work too. storm atronoch would be hardest for me to find at this point, is there any difference?

None. She took a combo of a storm atronoch and a golden saint from me. One of the towers of Tel Vos has an atronoch that respawns but i'm not sure if it's always a storm. You could check it out and then run out into the Grazelands and harvest a saint.
I can't go on. I will go on.

All she needs is a daedra soul... A big one preferably. Any of the atronachs work along with winged twilights and golden saints
