Watcher's Keep for all (spoils)

Post by Nightmare »

Alright, for the good of the forum...

EVERYONE! Post all questions, answers, and anything at all about Watcher's Keep IN THIS TOPIC. All levels, HERE. This might keep some topics on the first page for more than five minutes...

I don't have ToB yet, but I'm posting this so I don't see five different "Watcher's Keep level 2" topics on the board at once!

Thanks. Hopefully someone can help with this. I'm getting really frustrated.

I'm trying to fight the Demi-Lich in the 4th level (mad machine level). My guys keep getting imprisoned and therefore--gone.

How can I kill this guy and or keep him from imprisoning the world?

Any advice?
Thanks very much!

Ok if we are talking about the keep on the fourth level (lum's machine) where is the red candle and the second half to the key which opens the illithid room. I hate all of this searching for miniscule items.

Answer to above question - one part of the key is kept in the north-west area of the map, the other in the southern area of the map, believe they are trapped however.

Question of my own, and feeling stupid for even asking it. Seems as if I've either misplaced or not obtained the combination for the machine to open up the gate to the 5th level? How does one find this missing parchment, or just straight out what is the combination. Thanks.

Sigh,do a search on this board about Kangaxx (they're almost the same) and you'll probably find about a zillion or more strats, and also take a look at this

As for dealing with the demilich, I got tired of having him imprison all my characters in no time, so I just sent Minsc in (in berserker mode) and had him take him down....very easy...

Ok bunch of answers so just read it.

Ok the key in the illithind room right? Just go back through every room and hold tab, the key that's not on the table is in the possesion of the illithid in the south of the their camp, just hold tab and you should see it. Its probably near the door, cause that's what everyone been doing, just killing him near the door so they cant see the item after wards (I did that too, but was lucky as always I accidently pressed tab)

The demi lich... well I never found him for some damn reason but if I did I would just do the same thing as with Kangaxx. If you have a
berserker or anyone that can go berserk just send them in alone and bye bye lich. (EASIEST STRATEGY!)
Trap? What trap!? Ah shi....!!!!

One sure-fire way versus the ol' demi-lich is to cast immunity to magic(abjuration), give that person your best weapon and pound away. WARNING: this spell can only be used on the one who casts it! I did this with Aerie and Crom Faer, but I needed to withdraw and cast it a second time BEFORE it ran out. WARNING: If you leave the lair, the demi' will heal itself. Good luck
