An assertation Failed in infScreenLoad.cpp at line number 1415

When I go to load my saved games a screen comes up saying An assertation Failed in infScreenLoad.cpp at line number 1415. Unlike the other people I cant access any of my saved games at all. Pleas help!!!!

Well one thing you can always do is completly reinstall BGII+TOB then just put your saved games in the reinstalled game. If you have mods ect... you can put them in later, this is just to make sure your games still work.

Unfortunately it sounds as though your savefile is corrupted... either that or (hopefully) the savefile data doesn't match the area etc data, which means something changed in your override folder or such that directly linked to the place which you saved.

I had the same problem a year or so ago, and that error has to do with the graphic images (the screenshot from the save location and the portraits of the people in your party) attached to your save file. If I remember correctly, all you have to do is go into the saved game and delete the images, starting with the screenshot, and try reloading after each image is deleted.

When I had the problem is was the screenshot from the most recent save, which was only a day or two old so it must have corrupted while saving.
