Nalia romance

Post by Bad Karma »

Well, I downloaded the Nalia romance and figured I'd give it a go. I've rescued the keep, eliminated the slavers, and gone to Mr. de'Arnise's funeral, however, I've not yet seen any evidence of the romance occuring. I satisfy all the character requirements, male half-elf F/T with a CHA of 10. Does the multiclass make it freak out? One thing I have noticed, though, is that Captain Arat remains at the keep, as he should according to the mod's description. So do I just keep playing and have something eventually happen?

Have you gotten romance dialogues so far while traveling with Nalia?

I tried the mod before, encountered a bug that ended it, IIRC, and Arnel's forums were swamped with spam, so I couldn't get it fixed. So, I'm not the best person to ask since I never finished it.

No dialogues so far, and even a strange bug with UB. After talking to Arat for the first time since liberating the keep, a couple of cowled wizards suddenly appeared out of nowhere and thanked me for ridding the city of a certain hamster thief, and Minsc expressed his joy at his reunion with Boo. I hadn't done this quest yet in this game, but it even got put in my journal and everything. When I talk to the kid in the docks who originally stole it, he says he's sorry, even though the quest never really happened.

IIRC, I don't think the romance started for you. :( I could be mistaken, though...

As far as I remember, the whole funeral thing is supposed to be intermixed with romance dialogues and stuff...

I don't know why it would, but perhaps the multiclass might have screwed with some stuff...but I did get the keep, after all....who knows, I'll try my charatcter as straight up close to the guidelines as possible this time.

It doesn't, but it also has nothing to do with answering the thread poster's question. ;) Please, keep on topic, guys. Thanks.

IIRC, she's not trying to pick you up. Most of the romance dialogues in the game are more friendly support than flirting or anything of the like (the majority are the supportive kind). Her father's funeral is a natural place for supportive dialogues, too.

I restarted earlier today, with a vanilla human fighter--just got done playing a kensai, and a wizard slayer a game before that--and she talked to me after I gave 100 gold to the kid in the slaver ship. I know it was the real romance dialogue and not the normal one because there was music. I think it's working now.
