more than 1 mark point for mark and recall... no comments about mods IF YOU DONT MIND.
Well, oh, that is...
nevermind.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I think another element I'd like to see in a subsequent game would be vampires that are actually difficult to fight because they have abilities similar to those possessed by the vampires in Baldur's Gate Two, such as level drain...
I mean honestly.. any of the vampires I have encountered in Morrowind are no more difficult than the average attacking NPC...

good point, and wider vampire quests too, as much as any faction or great house... and it woudl be nice if you could disguise it some way, i dont like being dispised by everyone other than my telvani bretheren. it is a land of magic right? colored contacts and some 'anti-rotting corpse' deoderand is all i really need. and some nice sun block and shades.

i find it would be wicked if they had dueling that wasnt online...like me and my 2brothers and 1 sisters characters fighting each other, that would be good and it has to be harder than ES3 because it is just too easy.and making a backup file, just tonight my sister saved my brothers file over hers and there is no way of getting it back, backup files would also be good
I think there needs to be more environmental danger. So far, you can be hurt if you fall off a cliff and you take damage if you walk on lava. I think you should also take cold damage if you swim in an icy lake as in Bloodmoon (and you would continue to take cold damage for sometime after until you dry off) and blizzards should cause some damage if you stay out in them too long, lightning strikes should be a risk, etc...
My comment has is slighty like this quote.
I think that you should have to dress according to the weather because I mean, you can go naked to Solstheim and not get cold! or go inside Red Mountain in the lava wearing Nordic Fur Armour and not over-heat! I think that there should be an icon showing your body temp. and if if it goes too high or too low, that you would take damage, but if you were to keep it at average (37 degress Centigrade) you would take no damage.
And I would like to see that your armour and clothing take damage becasue it is unrealistic to wear Iron in the raain for hours and hours and days and days and not see it rust, and after fighting some kind of super-feirce enemy with sharp claws that your clothes aren't slightly torn.
And I would also like to see more clothes in the game, you have a very small selection at the moment in Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
Does anyone else agree with me?

yes, clothes defenitley, and armor types, and the armor worth more, or if yuo have specially crafted armor it costs more but is more effective on you. also an in-game editor where you can design your own look, not the actual morrowind editor which is for PC only, but actually while you are playing the game. fine clotheir my foot... doesnt tailer to customer demand, and the selection is the same as any other clotheirs. yes more diversity in the apparel would defenitely be good.

Yes, and I hope that in the 4th sequel that there will be an option with some Armourers and clothers to custom colour some types of clothing, armour and weapons.

Enchanted items should be worth more than their non-enchanted counterparts. It's very frustrating to enchant an item with a really cool enchantment, then find a unique item that works better, and have to sell back your item at its original cost. *grumble*
Oh, and... Absorb Health cast on strikes in a 10-15' radius is way too powerful. I named it the Katana of Unending Life, because that's what it was. *sigh*

dont know if anybody else has seen this... and it sort of realtes to this and dont want to open a new thread to show it.
The forth chapter in the Elder Scrolls series is but a twinkle in Bethesda's eye so nothing is known at this time. Please note that none of the features described below are written in stone and could be changed at any time. If you know of any new information not contained below, please let me know.
Might be called Oblivion.
Might take place on Summerset Isle.
Is at least several years away.
Will probably be a much different game than Chapters 2 or 3.

The first day I played Morrowind was the day I knew... It definitely needs horses. Different modes of transportation to get around BETWEEN the cities, not just from city to city. And, perhaps, when you go to different cities, you might needs "papers" to be allowed to enter, papers of the identification type. Well, maybe not to be able to get into cities, but I want identification for myself, dang it! I don't want to give it up to Casades. Identification was just a random thought, though. What I mainly want is a horse to get around by. And they have to have stables in cities where you can purchase them. Any size/color/breed. Well, size and breed don't matter, but color does. Hehe. I'm a horse fanatic. And you know what else I think would be awesome? If you could purchase your own house. Or have one built for you, might even be cooler. Buy some property. And then you could set up a barn and whatnot and have multiple horses so when one gets tired out or too old, you don't have to shoot him and can just keep him penned up. And perhaps not just horses... Maybe you could even buy your own boat to travel around in. And you could get caught in storms and you'd have to repair it every once in a while.
I think your character mainly needs more backround, though. Maybe you could find out clues throughout the game, and perhaps meet your family or distant cousin/uncle or something somewhere. I think that'd be pretty neat. I don't like not knowing about my guy. And why were you sent to prison, anyways? Many questions need answering.
One thing I hate about Morrowind... All the petty "errands" you have to run. I mean, come on. I'm the head of a House and I have to go find sload soap? They either need to cut back on the errands you're sent on, or they should give you errands that are more fitting of your position. And once you finally get to the top, I think you should be able to give people orders. Have THEM do some petty errands. Bah. I think they really need to cut back on errands. I don't really have an alternative, but they get really old.
I have lots of little ideas. Like, maybe your character should have to eat to stay healthy. And maybe since he has to eat, you could be able to grow plants/crops on your property that you can buy. And you can go hunting, and fishing. I was all excited when I first saw a fishing pole sitting by a dock, so I picked it up and tried equipping it. Needless to say, I was disappointed that I couldn't catch any slaughterfish. Speaking of slaughterfish... I think they need some nice fishes. "Scribs of the sea." Oh yeah. And they'd be nice.
Ok, now, I think you should be able to make friends. Like, friends friends. Who actually like, LIKE you. I'm not talking "disposition up to 100" and all that poo, but people who will stick up for you and do stuff for you. And I guess this kinda goes in the category of better NPCs and how they act and stuff. So, yeah, I definitely agree on the need for more/different conversation topics and interaction. That's a definite MUST.
And you know, I just have this weird little idea about clothes getting dirty and ripped and stuff. Like, I wear the same robe all the time and it still looks brand new. But I run through lava, swim through water, walk on dust roads, fly through clouds, so I think it should be at least a tad bit tattered. And so you have to go buy new clothes and perhaps there's even a tailor in the town and he can either repair your old ones or CUSTOM MAKE new ones. Maybe not, it was just an idea. And I think when you roll around in the mud, you should get dirty, and when you swim around in the lake, you should get wet, and the mud will wash off, and so on and so forth. Someone said something about more environment interaction, so I guess this would fall in that category. Maybe you could even get battle scars... I hear that in Fable, if you turn evil, your hair turns black and your face gets scarred. I think that's pretty cool. Anyways, on to the next!
I just have some little random thoughts... Like maybe after you finish the main quest, since it's open-ended, you could go on and become the governor of a town, and then possibly president/dictator (hehe) and... I dunno. Create an army and raid some other provinces. I know that all of this most likely isn't possible, because that would make this game HUGE. AND it would take years. Just ideas though. And perhaps you find a significant other and everyone's like "Aww..." and you live happily ever after.
And last but not least... This DEFINITELY HAS TO BE: MORE CHEATS FOR THE XBOXERS! All those computer types get all those mods and us xboxers only get dumb "invincibility" and "full magic" and "full fatigue" which really isn't all that it's said to be. Because you can still die. And still run out of magic. Anyways, those are my thoughts. Most, dumb, but the one thing that would truly make me happy and never get bored of the game.... A horse.
EDIT: Another thing, us xboxers should have an option to be able to drop everything at once. And then it could just appear on the ground as a little brown sack and you could open it and go, "Hm. I think I want to keep this and this and this, but that other stuff is crap. So I might come back for it later, but probably not." Or you could just be dropping it for a quick swim and then come pick it up again in one easy push of a button.
Also... I was thinking. Anyone think you should have to worry about thieves and such? Like, maybe if you have a house, people could break into it or they could steal your horse and you could seek them out and get it back? I dunno. Just a thought.
DOUBLE EDIT: I think, due to aggravating experiences, that if you pick up an item for a quest, you get a little notification that says, "You will need this item for a (Insert Guild name here) quest." Or maybe it doesn't even have to go that far. It could just say, "You will need this item later on." Same with people you kill. I know it does it for the main quest, but hey, we Morrowinders enjoy the side stories as well! It just annoys me when I sell something I need to have for later. I've only been selling to merchants in Balmora just in case I sell something I need.
THE END

This is part of the roleplaying experiance of your character, you have to decide why you were sent to prision. Basically the role playing element of the game gives you a clean slate and you build your character up yourself, otherwise you aren't playing the role of the character you want, but of a character who already has a personality, and thats not why people play these kind of games. But I agree with everything else, espically the stuff about horses, I'd love to buy a horse and enchant it with fortify speed and name it 'Shadowfax' and.... I'm getting carried away aren't I? I'll stop now.

Yeah, I guess. But I think it'd still be cool to at least find out about his family... That doesn't define your character, does it?
HAHA! Enchanting the horse? I hadn't thought about that. I was thinking maybe you'd need a smithy to shoe it and you'd have to buy saddles and stuff and maybe you could enchant THOSE things. I was thinkin' more of putting some cool armor on it (i.e. an awesome face mask with horns and such) and loading it's saddle with weapons that you couldn't otherwise carry by yourself. And maybe you could even get another horse... a pack horse... to follow you around. Sort of like the dude I guess you can get in Mournhold. Except he can't go out. I haven't done it myself, but I think it's pretty pointless if you can't go out into the world with your packrat. Oh, another thing I'd want to see, maybe more races to choose from for your character?

Oooh, I love horse armour, my favourite shot in ROTK is when they are all charging at Osgiliath (sp) and you can see all the horses fully clad in iron armour. I'd love to buy a deadric face mask for my horse. Only I'd probably be really really upset if he died, and its probably not as good a swimmer as me....

Well, maybe you could even buy training for your horse. Such as... Athletics. And he could even have some battle training, so you can fight while mounted. But he definitely has to be able to swim... Otherwise, they need to put a heck of a lot of bridges in the game.
And about the dying thing... Maybe they should make it so the horse doesn't die that easily, just because it doesn't really matter if he dies, you can always get a new one, but lots of people would indeed become attached to their horses.
And yes, I agree. Horse armor is... truly... awesome.

Just imagining this. Spoiler Alert!
You dismount, look around the sulphuric cavern and make a dash for it, hurling a deadric dart at Dagoth Ur. He laughs at you, and your horse glares at him. You leap out over the lava, and fumble wildly with the amulet around your neck, presented to you as a gift from those two men you met all that time ago North of Pelagiad as a reward for reuniting them. You manage to activate it, and your fall slows down.
As you land next to the pulsating heart you pull out a huge hammer, with which you strike the heart fimly in the middle. You disgard the hammer and use your short sword 'Keening' to hit the heart again, and again, until it shatters. Dagoth Ur is scared now. He belows with rage, and your horse rises up, and kicks him in the face, sending him sprawling head first into the lava pit before neighing at you to return to it. The two of you stagger out into the open and see blue skies above the Red Mountain. You turn to him and offer him some moon sugar as a reward for his heroics, and begin the treck back down to ghostgate.
True teamwork.

Ha ha!! That is awesome, but one problem... Saltrice? Surely not saltrice. The horse can eat grass whenever he wants! Moon sugar... Sugar is a rare treat for most horses.
Heh heh... Nice idea.

Yeah, you're probably right.
I personally think more games need horses. I've heard of some having them, but then when I look at screenshots of the game, the graphics aren't that good, and it's a game that I wasn't really interested in in the first place. But I think a horse is a must for Morrowind.
