I have a question about dual classing and strongholds. If I have a lvl 7 fighter, and dual class him to another class, before he gains his stronghold, does he recieve the stronghold of the fighter class or of the new one. Any feedback would be appreciated, if anyone knows how this works

I think you will get one for your new class. You might be able to receive the fighter's stronghold as well, if you do the quest *after* you regain your fighter ability, but I am not 100% sure. You cannot get it if your fighter class is inactive.
For the dual between non fighter classes, you only get one stronghold (unless, of course, you cheat ).

You cant have more than 1 stronghold. Dual and multi chars get the first stronghold they achieve.Originally posted by Minerva:

Well, the first thing is you are supposed to have only one stronghold.
In original game, however, there are possibilities to get more, though it may be counted illegal. It depends on combination and rather might be exploit-using or so. For example, fighter/mage can get both if
a) fighter stronghold is obtained after mage's one;
b)even if you have the Keep but do not bring Lavok out at the end of Sphere quest.
There were bugs, too, some of them persists even in patches. So ranger/cleric is recognized as cleric and can get priest's stronghold only if ranger class is inactive (i.e. one have to finish Unseeing Eye without ranger active). No much to care probably because Moondog anyway is one of the best items of such kind in the game, and temples cannot offer you anything ever nearly equal.
Besides it there is a couple or more patches around allowing to have several strongholds (or even all at once without care of class) as well as restricting one to one stronghold only (shame, have never met one correcting ranger/cleric problem i mentioned above).
You're not obliged to have any neither take first one offered.
There were some good threeds about this before, shouldn't you use the search?
