Mace of disruption 2
Mace of disruption 2
Can Cromwell use the fake ore to weld the Mace of disruption 2?
If aye, can someone tell me where I stuffed it???
If nay, can I achieve more genuine ore somewhere?

Nope.
Plain and simple, you either use the real ore to upgrade the Mace of Disruption, or use it for the church. I'd go with the upgrade personally. Should be noted that you get a helm of glory (ugly looking helmet) if you use it for the church.

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Shouldnt be a problem going for both? Real ore for the mace, and fake for the church? I've spent the genuine ore for that sissy artist, so I'm out of it. But I have heard that the sissy will settle for the fake, and the church will be pleased anyhow, wont they?

The church will indeed settle for the fake ore...

The artist will be angry when he finds out the ore is fake. But the church will accept it as it is, so you get the helm and exp.
So, the best option (for me, anyway) is to take the fake ore to the artist and to use the real for the mace.

when will he find out? And how do we find out that he found out? I take it Sarles has to accept the fake and start working with it, or else the church wouldnt know (believe)that our part of deal has been fulfilled.
And, does'nt the church also find out that Sarles are mad at us?
This is the reason I choose to use the real, cause sooner or later my scheme will blow, and I may have blown other valuable quests. (Cant know that in advance, can I?)
That is the logical way to think in real life, and if it shold be of any value the plots in BGII should follow these lines too.

One thing that bugged me about upgrading the Mace of Disruption is that it looked better as the +1 rather than the +2. The +2 image for the mace looked like the standard generic mace... compared to the really cool image for the standard mace.
And yea, I know you can edit the appearance... I changed the Helm of Balduran to look like a really good one.
