Fallen Paladins Quest

Post by Thishubris »

Anyhow, not an avid reader of this board, so if someone has previously posted this, don't bite my head off. But, I didn't see any reference to it whatsoever on the maps or aids or anything, so I figure I might as well post it up. It doesn't give very good items, but does give a reputation point and some decent experience, so.. What the hey.

Visiting the Temple of the Radiant Heart, bump into Ryan Trawl( This occured for me in Chapter Six when I was going to enlist the aid of the order), he'll tell you about a group of fallen paladins operating out of the Bridge District, he asks you to go and infiltrate the group and see if they are malevolent or benign.

You'll find the group of fallen paladins east of the Baltis estate, slightly NE, in what appears to be a dead end. They will be talking with some smugglers, jump into the fight and beat the smugglers off of the fallen paladins. Afterwards, the lieutenant will offer you position in the fallen paladins, but to insure your loyalty, wants you to go get a cup which is the symbol of paladinship for his commander.

Go back to Ryan and tell him of the situation, after a bit of persuasion he will give you the cup. Then go back to the bridge district and speak to the fallen paladins again.

Give them the cup, they will then ask you whether you wish to join or not. There isn't much of a difference, if you say yes the commander steps forth and says "You could not have gotten this cup so easily, now you die!" And a large fight insues. If you say no, the commander still steps forth and says something akin to "You could not have gotten this cup so easily, now you die!" But his lieutenant will desert him at that point.

The fight is relatively hard, if you are doing it in chapter six it shouldn't be too difficult, but remember that it takes place on the open streets, so unless you want to face the Cowled Wizards too, you need to spell up indoors somewhere, this also means no chain lightning conducting through all those suits of plate mail...

The commander, Anarg (I think) will yield a +1 Halberd, and a bit of coin and gems, as well as several potions of extra healing (the quest is almost worth doing for those alone, heh.). If the lieutenant stayed and fought he will also give up a couple of potions, extra healing and fire giant strength. Return back to Ryan Trawl, and he will give you a pair of gloves of healing. (heals ten hit points/once a day.)
