@Bradely, yes, Yeslick is in the Temple district, inbetween the big group of people where you first find out about the unseeing eye quest and the guarded building. He's pretty good I guess, but I dont particularly like dwarves.

Hey Virgil, since you've obviously gotten pretty far in the game, do you know where to find the Paladin and the archer?
In return for that tidbit of info, I'll tell you how to kill the Greater werewolves. MAGIC

Hit the furry punks with every offensive spell you have, and try to lure them one at a time. In my party, I had Jaheria and My bladesinger as the main casters (I soon picked up Robilliard). I used valygar to lure the little buggers to me one by one, surrounded them with Korgy Valygar and Adario, then caste all my spells at it. Took most of my o spells, but I got him. Then rest, and repeat. Fortunately though, you only need to fight 4/7 of them. You can kill the rest if you want.
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

Knight Errant,
The paladin Avaunis is in the Temple District also in the Radiant Heart headquarters. The archer (is this Kivan) is located in the Umar Hills possibly around the rangers cabin according to the TDD forum.

Thanks for the info on Yeslick.

Has anybody found that some of the NPCs join your party only if you do their personal quests?

@ Bradly, THANK YOU. DUH im an idiot, the ranger building and the Radiant heart, man, Im an idiot.

And Fable, the NPC's that join you generally expect you to do their quests once they join you, but in my experience, you dont have to right away.

Hope that helps, thanks all.

Well, i also started TDD. As 4 times. :D Not out of Irenicus dungeon still, though.

Disappointed with justifier. It seem some mix of avenger and shapeshifter without greater werewolf and only one shapeshifting for every choice. IMHO it'd be pretty weak or without difference with single druid in later stages. Well written announcement, though, it's what i was caught on.

Cerebral knight might be more interesting if there wouldn't a bug denying use of crossbow. His abilities my appear in full force in later stages of the game. IMHO it might be superclass for soloing. 10 Chaotic Commands at level 7 and the Feeblemind, it's something.

Dualed the Slayer of the Eye to cleric (i'm fond of ranger/cleric combo). I lose 4* in scimitars, but, IMHO, anti-beholder abilities with druid+cleric spell selection would be great. Also might be perfect for solo.

Surprised by tracker. At least at the startup it's cool to play. Shame, his stunning arrows are without enhancement, it may make limited use of them latter.

General impression still undetermined. Regarding the part of dungeon i've seen no much of difference if not for harder fights and more monsters. Well, i'm going to see.

Anybody planning to make a walkthrough?
I don't think i can make one, but i can submit some stuff(list of quests, where you get em').

BTW TDD is awesome. Tons of new quests. Get to go all over the area.

NPC quests don't have to be done immediately and i don't recommend doing Avaunis's quest early, its very tough!

Theres alot more wilderness tracking. Going through forests and mountains.

You really don't have to do any of the Shadows of Amn quests. They'll be boring by now. I'll recommend doing slavers quest and some of the early easy ones in Anthkatala. You can get some easy xp to attempt the TDD quests.

If anybody needs help i'll try to. I haven't got very far, but i recommend everybody going to the TDD forum, because they've got alot of bugs news and fixes which is needed very much. Also they got some quests lists and how you get them.

ANyway its a great game. I haven't played ToB so i don't what its like but this is great.

I can't believe those guys worked their asses off to create a free downloadable add on.

The only negatives, and you can't blame them for it, is that the game is unbalanced(you can get ridiculosly powerful in chap 2 and sweep through the drow with no problem).
The other one, and like i said you can not blame them for it, is the new dungeons.
They look the same like older ones, but its a free game.
Be grateful.

With my ISDN, I haven't gotten around to DL TDD. But I saw the name "Robillard the mage."

Is it the very same Fireball-hurler from Passage To Dawn? Wouldn't he be pretty old by now?
All that can go wrong, will, unless it doesn't, but then, it might anyway.

Yeah same guy. He wouldn't be old. The BG series is set a few years later than Passage to Dawn.

Well, now you know where to find Kivan and the paladin. Kivan doesn't appear for some people, its a bug that I don't know if 1.01 fixed or not. If you want him, and he isn't near the ranger cabin you can CLUA him in. Creater kivan12 I think... Yeah I found that magic worked against greater werewolves, but later in the game you will face 20-40 of them w/o the option to rest. So, there has to be some weapon out there that hurts them.

About 15 years later. But Robbillard was old already then?

He's a wizard. He'll live long.

Yeah there are tons of bugs and missing npc's. The new patch doesn't cover alot of it.
The new quests are unlocked by npc's in certain areas and some of them aren't appearing.

-----kind of SPOiLER------

'
'

A kender is supposed to be in the city gates area, and a gully dwarf called Forp in the Copper Coronet. They didn't appear in my game so i had to CLUAConsole them in. The cheats can be found in the TDD forums. Just search for 'Kender' and 'Forp' or 'gully dwarf'.
Check their bug's section. You may find answers to your problems.

The first *serious* disappointment :(
My ranger2cleric got the ranger class activated and druid spell selection. And, due to plenty of spells, he cannot cast, say, from level 5:
Slay Living,
Summon Nature's Ally V,
True Seeing,
Venom Plume,
Wall of Fire,
Wall of Thorns.
He has them, but they are out of screen, and i do not know a way to access them save but only by SK :D As i've heard some advanced mages have the same problem.

Speaking of TDD,
fable, the_pope, bgdungeon people:
remember when Testy66 introduced the idea to all of us at BGDungeon Tavern? Damn that was 10 months ago. Everybody had about 2 million questions.
I was looking down my favorites, and the link to the site was already there. I realized that i had put it there when Testy provided us the link. :D :D

Heh, @Thorin. It's just as well BGDungeon imploded--it was becoming an unfriendly place. This board is anything but. I just hope we can keep it going as BG2 gradually simmers down over the coming months. Maybe Buck can put in a forum for Wizardry--or certainly for NWN.

Let us all take a minute and pray that a ToB-compatible TDD will be forthcoming, and soon. OOOOOOOOOommmmmmmmm....
...reminds me of a Moody Blues song.

Anyway, I was amused by your post for that reason and the meat about a ToB compatablility patch considering this post is from mid november 2001.

I rehash this old topic because I was looking for feedback on TDD. I downloaded it on the day of its release although I've never installed it for two reasons.

1. I still have yet to complete ToB for the first time which I also bought on its' release date although I found it boring. Finally, I am at the throne of bhaal and am ready to paste melissan. I can't wait to see what that is like as I always refrained from reading anything on the boards I haven't already done.

2. I figured the game might have its' share of glitches and wanted to wait for patches. Now that it has been months, I'm sure most bugs have been covered.

I searched SoA forum for TDD threads and this one was the most informative. Thanks for posting a while back as you've convinced me to remove ToB once I'm done and start anew with SoA/TDD.

@ fable
i think that you would really like it. you get a lot of new weapons (even though ive never seen tob, ive heard quite a few complaints bout it and the weapons that you can get). itz wel worth the time that you put into downloading it and some of the quests are quite amusing and make you think. just gotta say: enjoy!
turnipboy
hobbies include: turnip cookery, turnip designing, turnip shows, turnip selling, turnip festivities.
