How long does it take to get Imoen back?

Also, my character is a Paladin, & he has the ability to memorize Priest spells, yet, everytime I get a scroll, it's red & he can't memorize it! What's up with that?

Another thing before I lose me train of thought, how will I get rid of Jaheira's curse? The moron that cursed her was a total dork! =P

Any help would be greatly appreciated! =)

First, to get Imoen back, you need to wait until chapter 4 I think. Well, until you reach Spellhold, you don't get her.

Second, Paladins and preists don't learn spells the same way as a mage. (at least I haeven't been) They learn with levels, kind've like a sorceror, or at least thats what I've seen so far.

Third, if you haven't found, and killed the Baron, and picked up Jahieras lock of hair, do so. After wards, rest outside, not in an inn.

Imoen back ... at what chapter are you currently ? and since this is related to the whole story, an answer could spoil you the game.

clerical scrolls: you need enough (dont't know the exact score, maybe someone else has the number at hand) intelligence to use priest scrolls.

One posibility: Go to copper coronet, and talk to the barmen (dont' remember his name, bernard (?) ), he will give you a hint where to go, it's a house in the slum destrict near Gaelan Bayle's house. There fight the baron and take the hair.
You need to rest 24 hours without interruption after that to cure Jeheira, so buy 3 times resting at the copper coronet.

I'm still in Ch 2, & a few times already, when we rest, I've had "dreams" that are being shown of Imoen & the main character when they were in Candlekeep, & the last one so far was if she refused to give in to Ienicus's wishes. I'm just trying to get any info I can on how to get her back!

Jaheira's curse, ok, I'll try what you've suggested & I'm still curious as to why my character, the Paladin hasn't gained any experience enough to memorize Priest spells. He's already gone a level up. This is one of the other things that I can't figure out. =P Any ideas or suggestions as to why this may be occurring?

I think paladins gain spell ability at 9th level. Also, some of the kits never get spell abilities.

Getting Imoen back depends on how fast you go through the story. If you burn through, it is only a day away, if you do the side quests, it can be weeks. Don't want to spoil too much.

Your Paladin will get spells, don't worry. Priest spells work the following way: when you first have access to a new level of Priest spells -- in this case, at Paladin level 9 you get access to level 1 Priest spells -- you will get a choice of memorizing any of the Level 1 spells implemented in the game. You will never have a chance to learn new level 1 spells, as you already have access to all of them. When your Paladin reaches level 11 (I think), you will gain access to all of the level 2 Priest spells.

As for Imoen, you could pursue the main story line if you want to get her back sooner (as soon as you get the money to pay the "Coo" guy, do so) and then do some of the side quests later in the game (Chapter 6). Here's a warning, however: if you don't do a bunch of the side quests in Chapters 2 and 3, your party may not be powerful enough to get through Chapters 4 and 5 (when you get Imoen back).

Paladins and spells: Take a look at page 227 of the manual. The bottom chart ("Paladin Spell Progression") shows exactly how many spells at each level your Paladin can memorize. Paladins will never be great spellcasters.

Priest spells are not on scrolls. As your paladin reaches new levels, he will automatically receive a whole pile of spells he can cast, although he can memorize only a few.

If your paladin is a Inquisitor like Keldorn then you never get any priest spells. On the other hand you have true sight and dispel magic which comes in handy.
