finding the indexs

Post by JesterKing »

hey, so far i have only found 2 propolyon (polyprop?) indexes... rotheran and the one on divath fyr's desk. does anybody know where the rest are? they are useful little gadgets, especially as nobody likes to transport vampires.

Try the Official Master Index Mod

I'd suggest you download the Master Index mod. With the mod you are directed to each index. When you've collected them all you are rewarded with a single master index that allows you to transport from Caldera to any of the the propylon sites and back. Of course if you are playing on X-Box then you won't be able to do this.

Try St. Olms temple in Vivic City. There's an index on the floor of a rat infested storeroom one floor below the temple itself.

Try the Wise Woman from Urshilaku Camp.

Try the Temple in Maar Gan. One is sitting on the edge of the shrine as an offering.

Buy or steal one from the pawnbroker in Caldera. You can see it sitting on his window ledge.

There one in the Telasero fortress. Look inside the stone box with the loot deep inside.

Try the upper level of Hlomaren. Should be in the hut with the slaves on the top of the fortress.

The Telvanni mage, Beladas, in Gnisis has one on them. Check the top of his shelves and bookcases.

That's all that comes to mind. Good luck.

The deadric shrine in the ashlands where you get the bow is the location of the final one, but I think its one of the two you already have JK. I love to use the indexes as a way of fast travel, they are one of the first things I collect when I start the game. Its a trip to Caldera, and I leave with a full set of masters alchemy equipment, the boots of blinding speed, the propolyn index, and if I'm medium armour, I get the orcish stuff from Ghorak Manor.

where abouts in caldera are the boots of blinding speed?
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No :D
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

They are on the road between Ald-Ruhn and Caldera, on a redguard woman named Peminie or something similar. Happy hunting!

I found the index mod to be rather disappointing. I miss the thunderclap and the multiple teleportation of the original. I'm not sure the convenience and the 17-pound weight decrease is worth having to look at the ugly bugger's face all the time instead of the insides of propylon chambers, though.

Here are the locations of the Propylon Indexes along with how to get them:

Andasreth: Owned by Brilnosu Llarys who lives in the dome of the Hlormaren
stronghold. The index lies on a shelf in the dome chamber.

Berandas: Owned by Baladas Demnevanni in the Arvs Drelen Tower of Gnisis. He'll
give it to you if you ask him, or you can steal it off the shelf in his dome.

Falasmaryon: Lying next to the rock shrine in the Temple of Maar Gan. You
cannot buy it, so you must steal it (maybe if your Speechcraft skill is high
enough, you can convince the owner to part with it, but I didn't manage to do
that).

Falensarano: Found in the Lost Galleries of the Maelkashishi Daedric shrine on
the western edge of the mountains west of Maar Gan. There are two entrances in
the shrine, of which the upper one goes immediately into the Lost Galleries. To
get the index without having to bother about fighting high-level enemies, take
the upper entrance, and fly over the chasm to the ledge at the other end. The
index lies next to the corpse found there. Don't forget to take the Daedric Bow
while you're there.

Hlormaren: On the windowstill of Irgola the Pawnbroker in Caldera. You can buy
it from him or steal it.

Indoranyon: Owned by Divayth Fyr, the Master Wizard of Tel Fyr. He'll give it
to you if you ask for it, or you can steal it off the table next to him.

Marandus: In St. Olms Temple in Vivec, lying between two crates in the
storeroom where two rats attack you. Look closely, it's easy to miss. A Light
or Night Eye spell may help to find it.

Rotheran: Carried by Rols Ienith, who lives in the Communal Hut on top of the
Rotheran stronghold. Kill him to get it.

Telasero: Found in Telasero, the Dunmer stronghold between Suran and Molag Mar.
This is the most difficult index to get. To get it without fighting at least a
couple of Dreamers is nigh impossible, but you can try to get by with stealth
or invisibility. Find your way to the lower level and search the right trough
facing from the entrance, which is filled with all kinds of stuff. The index is
there.

Valenvaryon: Owned by Nibani Maesa, the Wise Woman in the Urshilaku Camp. You
can buy it from her or steal it from the table next to her. Do not tick her off
because she is an important NPC for the main quest.
