he's right especially with the cleric/rangers not only do they have better fighting skills than a plain cleric they also get cleric AND druid spells i would suggest dual classing from ranger to cleric at levle 5 and putting the ranger profficiancies in blunt weapons and sling
oh and i think they can wear bigger armor and use better weapons than a regular cleric can
I agree there... though i'm not sure about being to wear "better" armor since clerics can wear all of the armors as well... the weapons however i believe is true.

Rangers rule!
I love rangers... and i dont know why! perhaps it's the shared love of the outdoors, maybe its my love of elven kind (as most rangers are at least half-elf),or also thier well rounded skill and that they are very usefull, in any case i'd say ranger
.(Though im fairly partial to the mage as well)

Fighters or Rangers. Fighters are plain weapon masters while Rangers have more abilities but are less refined. I hate Paladins. Dumb abilities, weaker than Rangers (more restrictions, no two weapon fighting in BG2). Theives r alright but backstab dont get big till later levels.
