Boots of Speed and Bad Memory
Boots of Speed and Bad Memory
Spoilers ahoy!
Ok, so there are six constant haste items in the game. Five Boots of Speed and the Grandmaster Armor. I know where the Armor is, and a few of the Boots. There's a pair of Boots in the Planar Prison, Illasera's got another, and you can buy a pair from Lazarus Librarus. One of Gromnir's bodyguards has the Armor.
So where are the other two pairs of Boots?

You can get one pair by putting 15 tokens into that contraption you find in the Spellhold dungeon.

Don't you wish there were 6 boots of speed so your entire party could be hasted instead of having one guy drag along the entire time (Unless your a monk, then he's just slightly slower)
Wait! You can kill Drizz't, but then his stuff just gets stolen back nm
Lazarus sells the "other pair" mentioned above
Also, though the boots of speed is supposed to only increase your movement rate it does also seem to give you an xtra half-attack at higher levels (though this does not happen at lower levels), is this supposed to happen or is this a bug?

I think ive got a way to steal Drizzts stuff without getting it stolen back. If u asked him to help u kill bohdi and u used the fake talk to let the vamps kill him to take his stuff, could u take the worst item and leave and let that mage take it then go back & take the rest? or would he just keep comin back?

Memo to Userunfriendly or anyone else with feed back,
Can some one fill me in on ease of use mod. I've heard alot about it but all just here say no details. Also I'd like to know about the Shadows over (Soubar?). What does a mod do? Like shadow over soubar, does this add game play or alter whats already there. Sort of rewite it?
Thanks BG Fan

I dunno.... The mod looks a lot like cheese to me ... What if I equiped on someone and used a spell like Flame Blade or Shapeshift when he takes the stuff? Would he be able to take it then?
@Patrick Ease of Use is a mod that gets rid of some inconviniences that r annoying. The bad part (at least 4 me) is that some of it is a lot like cheating and mommy says dats bad

what in ease of use is cheating? the shapeshifter rebalancing makes shapeshifters very powerful, but they're supposed to be.
the grand mastery fix is only there because the creators nerfed the D&D tables
potion stacking is a gem, especially if soloing. the game is not about inventory management. if you think a certain component is cheating, don't install it. but i would definately recommend EoU

Mods either add gameplay, characters, items, area stuff, or some combination of these
i.e.
Tashia mod adds Tashia (NPC sorcerer with a quest)
Tactics and Ascension just make the monsters tougher and give them better A.I. so it makes the game A LOT harder
The Darkest Day adds gameplay by adding new stuff like items, spells? (forgot) quests, area stuff
Just a note. Ascension has the option of harder battles, but they're optional. What this mod really does is changes the story in ToB (for the better, IMHO).
OOPS, srry, I like the harder battles best though
Shadows of Soubar is another mod, adding more gameplay time
more info? go here
