prologue - the goodies are attacking me?!

Post by rimu »

hi all

i'm very new to this game... i'm still in the very first section, when the wave of goblins comes and starts attacking the pallisades. as soon as i step out of the boss's office to start fighting not just the goblins but the soldiers (and the healing guy too, if i go back into the office) and all the other towns-folk start attacking me/the party/us/whatever.

what have i done wrong?

Is it possible that you have attacked/casted offensive spell to "friendly" NPC? I'm not sure, but I think that is one thing that makes those good guys attack you

There are only a few things that can lead to this problem:

1-you cast an area affect spell like skull trap or fireball and you accidently hit a friendly NPC wich makes all friendlies attack you.

2-you outright attacked a friendly NPC in melee.

3-You failed pick pocketing a friendly NPC.

The way i see it, you dont know what happened so its prolly option 1.

Remember: NPCs are very, very, very stupid. You must be careful around them.
