What is your lead character's name?
Here are some of mine:
Beowulf (after a son-of-a-diety hero of ancient scandinavian legend, also after a Chris Lambert's character from a *bad* bud *fun* after-apocaliptic movie based on the said legend) for a stalker
Shinobi (the word has pretty much the same meaning as ninja), for a kensai-thief
Hachi-Dan (means black belt, 8th degree) for a monk
Blondie (using the uber-paladinly portrait from BG1) for a couple of paladins and kits
"Bigfella" - for a halfling assassin
Barbie - for a male elf barbarian, tha started as a test char, but turned out to finish the game onse
Grom (just like the sound of the word, although means "thunder" in Russian) for a fighter-druid
Oh, and a couple of not-that-interesting "Nature's Wrath"s, "Silent End"s, "Fist Fury"s, "Singing Winter"s, "Death from Afar"s and the like for the obvious class representatives in various multiplayer parties

At the moment my Druid's called Mat Cauton, but that's just because I needed a name and looked at my bookshelf and History of the Faithfull C.... damn...
I mean The Wheel of Time saga was in my line of sight.
I believe that when I was just a wee little newbie I called my character Matthijs (my own name)
But usualy Bond-Bad guys do pretty well.
My Gnome Illusionist was called Aurich

Well...
BG series characters I've actually done much with:
Inziladun M Dwarf LE Fighter/Cleric - Numenorean, LoTR, the birth name of Tar-Palantir, and a suspiciously dwarvish sounding name
Deodand F Human LE Kensai/Mage - Archaic legal term meaning "instrument of death" also a monster in Jack Vance's Dying Earth series
Krasnoyarsk M Half-Elf LE Wizard Slayer - name of a city in Siberia, site of a missile base
Mouse F Human LN Swashbuckler - The original nickname of the Grey Mouser, in Fritz Leiber's "Fafhrd & the grey mouser" books
In Everquest, Akallabeth (Erudite Cleric of Cazic-Thule), Badkat (Vah Shir Rogue) Japakazol (Halfling Warlord) and, of course, my main toon Nephtu Morgulduin (Dark Elf Revenant) - with more play time than all the rest of my alter egos put together.

I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Yea, I started with BG 1 and after a tremendous amount of thought, came up with "Shandar". I felt that I came up with an excellent original name.........then I met Shandalar. I was very dissappointed. My name was not so original. Right now my leader is a Female and her name is Kalia.
Anywhere you can find a raving lunatic rambling on about his past and how he received the enlightenment from the toads who hail from the heavens, I'll be there.
And no, I'm not on drugs.

I tend to say stuff backwards to get my names. Even if I have to alter them just a tiny bit for spelling reasons. So far my favorite is a assassin mage who is wearing all red and has Blackblood club. His name origanally was Red Death, but then I switched it around and kept the t and the h in the same places (can't have ht-something in a word) and came up with Der-Thaed.
My other favorite name is The Wanderer 13 to get that thing that follows you around

Paladin: "Raymond Luxury Yacht" (but it's pronounced Throatwobbler Mangrove)
Illusionist/Thief: "Godfrey Quigley"
I tried to give my next char a name like "Admiral Higglebottom J. Sodraper the Seventeenth", just so I could see everyone call me by my full name since BG2 never abbreviates any names, but there wasn't enough room so I just went with my standard "Lord Schmidt" (my last name).

Correct, but I think in GB it's spelled "Zool"
I only played the BG saga once, simply named Rob-hin. In BG 1 I was a wizard, then BG 2 came out but I already deleted BG so I became a wizard slayer.
I'll start BG again soon, when I get my new PC.
