I'm playing a Berserker dual classed into Cleric. He is NG in alignment.
When I was still a Berserker, I accepted the Unseeing Eye quest from the temple of Helm. When I actually started the quest (much later in the game), I was already dual classed into Cleric, but when the quest was completed, I was awarded the temple of Helm as my Stronghold. The temple of Helm is usually from N characters, not G ones.
Will this affect anything later on in the game?

no it wont. you were given the temple of helm because non-cleric characters starting the quest talk to the helm overseer, Osig.
therefore when the variable for your quest became clerical, you got the helm stronghold. imho, its the best one anyway because you get to stop both lathander and talos from attacking each other rather than anihilating one or the other.

sory i couldnt be bothered to read the post fully. But whats wrong with eliminating a Temple? Helm is still my favourite but i like stabbing things By the way will u get rep loss if u kill talos seeing as its evil? And with Temples not being commoners will u get rep loss 4 killing Lathander? I hate those guys
why? talos isn't necessarily evil per say, his followers merely relish the chaos of storm, or at least thats how i understood it
I don't know enough about the backstory to the Forgotten Realms to know if the actual god is evil, but if you play an evil cleric you get the Talos temple as your stronghold, so there is definitely some connection with evil not mere chaos. Also I usually take the side of the Umberlant priestess versus the Talon fishermen in BG1 so I figure there is a feud going on that I don't mind continuing.
