here's my campaign ending...what ya think?

This is what I got for my campaign ending so far...please tell me what you think.

Ending: They just found out about Darekaveruu's(the evil half black dragon/half demon god) existance through one of his powerful minions or was told by one of the two people who lived back during the Judgement War (where the evil dragon god killed all of the other dragon gods). Next from the heavens a blinding red beam shoots down right next to them and after a while the beam dissappears and the actual god Yondalla is there before them...but they can see that something is wrong. Yondalla has empty eye sockets that pore out a black steam. Also her mouth and several cracks in her skin do the same thing. Then she begins to fight them without warning. They are losing terribly because she is a god and doesn't take damage. Eventually the person holding a scroll case(that wouldn't open) that they found on a foes person will begin to glow and rise toward the sky. It will spin wildly for a few seconds and then it explodes, releasing 3 golden/white beams of light. One hits the party (heals them to full HP and removes all diseases, etc.)/one hits Yondalla (she crumples to the ground clutching her stomach and appears to be dead/ the other flies into the sky until the party cannot see the beam anymore. Then after a few minutes Yondalla's body begins to twitch wildly on the ground. After about one minute, Darekaveruu will burst from Yondalla's back (this kills her and all her worshippers involentarily obey Darekaveruu's command). He stands up straight and says "Now I have full power [he flexes]. I will control this world and kill all god on it...starting with all of you!" Then the beam that went into the sky comes down and strikes Darekaveruu. He falls to his knees and yells "NO! This can't be happening! I'm...I'm weakening!" Next he stands back up and says "Even though I'm weakened...I still have the power to kill all of you!!" Darekaveruu is now able to feel pain and recieve damage, so the party battles with the has been god. If they win, then Darekaveruu disappears without a trace just before the final blow is struck and the old worshippers of Yondalla still worship Him. If they lose, then they lose and Yondale, Lycanthropia, and the Fertile forest are destroyed before Darekaveruu is finally destroyed by an army of the surviving good forces of the world.

More: The scroll thing had the soul (or more of an essence or spirit or power) of the half gold dragon/half celestial god (I'll call him GDG for short) that Darekaveruu fought years ago. Neither had the power to completely finish the other off. The scroll bursts open and hits Yondalla and transfers the GDG's soul to Yondalla. The healing burst that hits the party is repayment for leading him to Darekaveruu. Then the burst that hits Darekaveruu is the GDG's own raw power that is intended to weaken Darekaveruu enough for the party to finish off, but that obviously didn't work. Also when the scroll hits the ground it leaves an imprint on the ground that forms into a beautiful, golden medalian with the GDG's symbol as its shape. Later in the sequel, in the final battle, Yondalla appears and the medalian glows a burning red and shoots a white beam into Yondalla's back. Next the medalian pulls a gold beam back into itself and takes shape as the GDG. The medalian held the GDG's body and the scroll his soul and power. When most needed, in the final battle, the GDG shows up and fights. After the battle, if they win, Darekaveruu and his brother are trapped in the medalian (thier bodies) and the scroll (their souls and powers). This is because the three dragon gods mentioned here are "soulshifters" and can never truly be destroyed, but can be weakened to the point of becoming mortal at times and be able to be killed by mere mortals(although after they are killed, they just transfer their souls to another container until they can get their power high enough to come back). I hope this clears it up for the PC level confusion.

Please tell me what you think.
So I offer you respect, and it will take much for you to lose it. But if you do, if you choose to see it as weakness and seize upon your perceived advantage, well...perhaps I'll then let you talk with Guenhwyvar.

I quite like it. I think for it to all make sense to your players and provide a great story line you will need to write the Scroll Case's history down really well. Lot's of detail.

You don't necessarilly have to give it to your players but just to have it on hand so you can explain to them the storyline and processes in detail.

You don't want them sitting back saying "okay, so which God did we kill, and where'd that other guy go."

I don't think you'll have that problem if you have your mind set on the storyline. I think your players will enjoy it... go for it!

I like your story a lot. You have great creative ideas and if i were to be a

character in the quest i think i would injoy it a lot. I liked what tirann said

about writing down the scrolls information.Writing things like this down are

really helpfull. Sometime when i will DM and were at certin parts of the

campaign i forget to give the details that i wanted to get across when i was

thinking about the quest. So writing things down are really helpfull. Usually

when im about to DM the ending i take a break just to get everything in

focus. Thats about all i gotta say.

Good Job ;)
Peace out!
