The world is very sharp, so theres no use protecting yourself from it. Enjoy life, just make sure you dont get cut too deep.

Edwin and Jan.

When you later get Imoen back you'll have another spell-caster which should turn out nicely.

I currently have:

Assasin
Edwin
Jeihara
Jan
Imoen (Just got her back)
and
Haer-Dalis.

Good combination of characters. Love lining up a target and having Imoen, Edwin, Haer-Dalis and Jan all let off five magic missles at once....

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang...

20 x magic missile does a fair bit of damage. Then when they recover from that they're facing a lovely fire elemental with another on the way. They won't even realise you're behind them ready to backstab...

From your list, I'd take Korgan, Edwin, and Jan. Pure tank, pure mage, great thief and mage.
