The Dark Flames have their origins in the BG2 Forum and owe their existence (at least originally) to Anomen from the game... Basically a group of us began writing fan fiction based on the Anomen romance which quickly acquired a life of its own
Bah. I never took Anomen on my party. He was an arrogant prick. That sexy, drow elf female was a much better cleric. Nothing quite like being spanked by snake-headed whips.
and am here to take my rightful place as king of this thread.
Hah, good luck JesterKing. The vets have a monopoly over all & everything, even newbie threads.
COMM and all the rest are just ways people can worship Weasel without explicitly admiting to it
If he grants me power or benefits, I'll join!
PS: Where I can find this Dark Flames or stuff about COMM?
Check it out! One of my earliest, and certainly, more creative threads!

Dark Flames are a community of writers all composing a single "epic", if you will. There are several story threads about the boards, the most rescent being Book 6 which was started not too long ago.
COMM is everywhere, not really holding any official "getherings" or such. They just praise dad when he makes his movements.

Everybody's gone to bed! Allll alooooone......
(Pulls wand out from it's hidden spot behind her back and starts casting spells repeatedly for an hour straight)
Yes, I gained a level in Illusion! Now I can make BS sober on command! Boy is he EVER gonna hate me for this.....
who says he's invincible.... MUWAHAHAHAHAAAAA
(Now that nobody's around, the good fairy's cute little wings disappear. Horns emerge from her forehead, and her wand grows decidedly pointier. Her clothes grow inexplicably tighter and turn black. She does a wicked dance under the light of the moon...)

Yeah? Whatcha gonna do about it? Chain me up?
I'll have morphed back into the good fairy again by morning, and then everyone will be dumbfounded as to why you'd chain up such a benevolent little creature!

Ahhh, wonderful. I am always pleased to find fellow insomniacs.
Well, as long as you're here, what do you say to joining me for a wicked dance under the moon? Did you bring the appropriate clothing?
(stupid question - we all know perfectly well you are always attired in this fashion...)

*grin* I'm always up for a wicked dance beneath the moonlight
Besides it is rather fun when the lads realise their sleeping habits might have prevented them from being witness
Actually, you know, I'm not sure if it is necessarily insomnia as it is an appreciation for the night itself. Everything is so quiet and peaceful, and I always find there is something soothing about hiding beneath its velvet gaze

I know precisely what you mean. I used to live on the east coast, just up the street from the beach. (Ahhh, wonderful Rhode Island.... don't go there, though, enough people have realized it's magic as it is, and it's become extremely overpopulated)
I used to slip out around midnight or 1 and head down to the pier. Night may be wonderful, but night on salt water is even better. Especially night on salt water on naked skin.

Exactly... I live in Vancouver, as I think I mentioned, and I'm lucky because although I'm in a downtown area, the beach is only a ten minite or so walk away. When I have the windows open I can still smell the salt in the breeze. I have spoken to somebody else who told me Rhode Island had become overly popular... *sigh*
I have dipped into salt water while bare, though not here. I admit, I'm a wimp where cold salt water is concerned, it stings a little (sensitive skin), but when we were on vacation while in Belize a few years back I slipped off when it was quite late for a quiet skinnydip. It was pretty amazing with the canopy of stars, and the subtle scents of the tropics rising up around the stronger scent of brine.
Hi Chan,
lol! I should have known *hug* How are you doing?
Some things will never change DW. A denizen of the night I shall always be.
I am doing reasonably well. Lasagna was involved in my day today, which alone does wonders for the spirit. And you? How are you?
Standing salty, wet and naked can be a bummer depending on where you're hanging out. Down here, it's the same temperature at midnight as it is during high noon. No problemo here.

*similarly pulls on clothing and dries off*
Yes it was a nice swim
*rolleyes* I really should think about trying to get some sleep.. I have to deal with some administrative details tomorrow, and it would probably help if I was relatively alert.
