Fallout 2 video cutscene problem

Fallout 2 video cutscene problem

Hi, I have windows XP and just complete installing Fallout 2. But the game's cutscene like the intro and stuff would play then freeze and hangs. I can skip pass it but I want to see the cutscenes. Can someone pls help I really want to play this game.

Have you tried running the game in "compability mode"? For instance Win98?


Other then that - the only thing I can think of would be to try and lower you computers settings.
For instance, lower sound accelleration in Direct X to none.
Also try and lower hardware accelleration by right clicking your desktop, selecting settings/proberties -> advanced -> and then one of the tabs has some slider for hardware accelleration.

Other then this I can't really suggest anything - hope it helps.

Thx for the fast response, but the problem still occurs. The intro would stop and freeze at the exact same spot, as do the other cutscenes. Thx for the help though!
