Sharwyn won't ~Identify~ anymore

Post by BadAzzCleric »

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I'm in Hordes, using Sharwyn, and at some point in the game, (I'm still early on in the Underdark), she appears to have lost the ability to identify my items. There used to be an option when you talk to her, "Can you Identify any of my items?" but now it's not there.

One time I asked her to focus on being a fighter, but I immediately switched her back to duel classing. Did I screw something up when I did that? Like...because for a second, she went to focus on being a fighter, she lost the ability to identify things?

On a different note, I chose to be a Red Dragon Disciple and I think it's the coolest thing ever! I have wings and can breathe fire! How freakin' cool is that??? } :o ) Next, I'll be moving on to Pale Master. Man he has some cool spells at a high level. "Hellhole" is just CRAZY!!

Hard to say what could be wrong.
A bard/fighter should be able to identify like a bard. But it might be that there is a bug with multiclassing ... although I can't recall having this problem with Deekin.

My only advices would be to try and kick her from your party, take her back and see if problem persists.
Or try and wait untill she has leveled once as a bard.

(also is your game patched?)

Thanks Xandax. I'm not sure what happened, and I didn't bother figuring it out...I just went back and got Deekin. He's much better anyway.

I'm glad I ended up getting HoU. It's SOOOOO much better than SoU. In fact, I like it even better than the original NWN.

So far, I'm a level 10 Sorcerer, Level 10 RDD, and I'm now a level 2 Pale Master. It's cool being able to have such a diverse character. Previously I had always stuck to being one thing and one thing only. In BG, I was a Paladin, in NWN I was a Cleric. Now I'm seeing the benefits of multiclassing.

Anyhoo..thanks for getting back to me.

Hey...have you played The Lord Of the Rings, Return of the King? I was thinking of getting that one. Any experience with it?

Haven't played LotR no - so can't advice you there, but you could put up a thread in the Games Discussion forum to see if others have experiences with it.

(and yes, HotU is better, because imo it holds better gameplay/story; I am not so big a fan of the higher levels and powerfull items)
