New Kid on the Block

Post by Shazir »

I just satarted to play BGII and having escaped Iren's place and dealt with the Promenade I have proceeded to the slums where I have discovered my need for 20,000 gp. At the Copper Whatzit I took-on Niala and thought to head for the family manor. Imagine my surprize when I could not exit the gates of the city. What am I missing? I have done the rounds of city areas collecting a couple of pages of quest pledges in my journal and I still cannot get out.

I'm starting to feel Claustrophobic. Maybe its the Ranger in me.

You'll have to visit the city gates first before you can leave the city..

Spoiler: in the city gates inn (crooked crane), there is a very powerful monster with very powerful loot... Check it out ;)

Sure did!!

Right, I go to the gates area. I approach the gates with my party and I cannot get to the outside. I expect it should work like the exit from the Promenade but it does not.

What gives?

The place you have to click at the City Gate is a little hard to figure. Just move your cursor arround the gate, you'll eventually figure where it is.

After you exit through the gates one time, you will be able to exit from anywhere in the city.
