Taken from the Unoffcial FAQ, at Gamebanshees SW:KotOR II pages.
When will KotOR II be available in stores?

The Star Wars: KotOR sequel is currently planned for a Winter/Spring 2005 (specifically February) release date. It is at least partially likely that it will be (as most top-quality games usually are) delayed until slightly later 2005. Development on such hotly anticipated titles is usually delayed due to living up to the polish expected by both dev. team and fans. However, since this is a sequel based on the original engine, the delay could be shorter than normal or non-existent and the release date possibly on schedule. As further news develops, this page will be updated.
And at the official site, it lists Feburary 2005

I'll lay odds right now that either 1) it will show up for the 2004 holidays, which is unlikely, or 2) it will be finished for late spring--roughly the time of E3, or May. January-March are traditionally dead in the PC-based computer gaming industry: almost nothing comes out at that time, and game releases slow to a trickle. That's because marketing research shows most people have spent their money during October-December. Everybody holds back, and even finished games aren't released.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
