Timothy Bradstreet, because of his detailed and moody style. The overall effect is very realistic and urban, with an air of decay and despair. He did a lot of work on the first two editions of Vampire, but had a falling out with White Wolf over unauthorized t-shirts featuring his artwork.

I have to agree, Tim Bradsteet's work for Vampire was excellent. I actually have 2 or 3 of the clan T-shirts that evidently were the cause of the break-up. That is dissapointing to hear...

I also like the work he did for Shadowrun, just all around the best artist for RPGs. Period.

But the new Vampire: Requiem game now has Brom as a major contributor, and he'd have to be my #2 favorite illustrator. So not too bad a trade-off.

Tim Bradstreet, absolutely. His work set the tone for the 2nd edition onward. Fantastic quality, a real sense of atmosphere, and his style was perfect 'Gothic punk.'

Break-up? I know he stopped doing stuff for them some years back, but I don't know anything about why. Can you elaborate?
