Mage stronghold for Kensai/Mage

When I finished the Planar Sphere quest I didn't become the owner of the sphere. I've already gotten the fighter stronghold, is that why they won't give me the mage one? Or will they not give me the stronghold 'cause I was originally a Kensai?

It's really anoying 'cause I've been playing the kensai/mage in order to get the darn thing but now it seems that I won't get it. *sniff*

because you have the figther stronghold, you can only have 1...so too bad for you

I heard something about getting two Strongholds. One ALWAYS has to be the fighter Stronghold, the other can befor any class of your dual/multi class fighter.

I tried this last time with my Fighter/Thief, but must have screwed up somewhere as I only got the Fighter Stronghold (while it isn't even his 'active' class - kinda sucks). Does anyone know how to get two Strongholds?

I've already finished the game as an Evil fighter/thief, and I was able to get both the fighter and thief strongholds, Why not fighter and mage?
