WHat monsters do I need to trap inside a Grand Soul Gem in order to have constant effect? I captured a Dremora Lord, and that didn't do it.

Golden Sain, or ascended sleeper. Vivec and Almalexia will do as well, but they can only be obtained in Azura's Star, and I prefer to use thier souls for weapons and such that do damage when used/strikes since they have a greater charge, and you can get CE with a golden saint. Why waste the biggest amount of charge in the game when a 'renewable' source will work just as well.

The deadra Staada on the Island for Azura's quest also works as she is a golden saint.

yea, but would you REALLY want to kill vivec!?! Almalexia i can understand (and never thought of) but Vivec?!?
also, if i'm not mistaken (which i very well could be) a winged twilight can also be used for a CE... i don't remember thoe

Nope, youre mistaken, Winged Twilights cant be used only Gods, Golden Saints, and Ascended Sleepers

Are you sure Staada works? She seems to be strange. I had her in a gem when I went to get my Telvanni stronghold and she didn't count as a strong soul.

And do Dagoth ascended sleepers work?

Staada definitly works, she won't have counted as a strong soul because she's one of a kind and they couldn't be bothered to code it, but she has 400 charges, so she can be used for CE, as for Dagoth Ascended Sleepers, I don't know, sorry.
