My Stronghold pics

Post by Ylossakram »

Well, finally my Stronghold is complete!
Too bad you can't choose where to build it so mine is in the middle of nowhere in the ashlands ... :p

My Telvanni tower is growing!

Image

First stage complete! Even got 2 houses linked!

Image

Finally it's finished! Now it has 4 houses linked, multilevel and an enourmous dungeon that goes deep above!
If you want to pay me a visit learn to fly ... ;)

Image

But it's not over ... i even got guards to guard my properties ... special guards like the one in the pic  ... got some outside and inside too!

Image

This game rox for good! :D

Having guards is cool I guess but is there really a need to have them? Also, do you get shopkeepers inside...and how tough are you before you get a fortress built for you like that?

Well, cool is cool, but dunno if there's a real need for them ... but this game is amazing so, who knows ? :p

Not inside, at least for me, but any inhabitant of the 4 linked houses offers services :D

I can speak for Telvanni only (but i presume for other houses is the same) and can tell you have to be few ranks (2-3) from the top of your house before you're offered the Stronghold, no matter for your lvl ;)

lol, the telvani mushroom tower is the best looking of the fortresses, no contest, but the guards suck! i mean i was so siked about getting centurions, and wanted to see them in action right? so i lured a guar or kagouti or somethign onto my property and stood there in front of my guards, 1 at a time, being hit. nothing. they didnt move. the rolled around and blew steam. thats it. also its a pain in the butt when one of them gets caught in the stairwell and you cant get up. i dotn like levitating either, but its worth it to fly around it and be amazed by its beauty.

Nice! I've never played as Telvanni so I actually had never seen Telvanni stronghold.

And Hlaalu and Redoran strongholds are also in the middle of nowhere. Have to use Mark/Recall...

So you say it is pretty hard to get a stronghold and about how many missions did you do for them before you got it..........one more thing does it get bigger the more missions you do.
And yes it is Maruchan like the noodles :p

The Great House Strongholds are available for both PC and XBox players. I can't see any reason why XBox users shouldn't be allowed to get to boast around with their nice little personal estates...

because, wouldnt you know it? the PCer have some retarted mod which will build you a castle bigger than the moon with guards like herculese, complete with teleporters, libraries, bedrooms, offices, and last but not least, bathrooms that you can actually use. thats why we do not brag about our houses, we get ridiculed by fable. again, and again, and again....

HOLY POO! My stronghold!!! I totally forgot about that thing!!!! It's been finished for weeks now, but I still haven't seen all of it.. :( Oops... He he... Mine has shopkeepers in it. Your's doesn't? At least I think mine does... I dunno if I've gotten the guards yet, (don't remember if I did what was required,) but like someone said, you don't really need 'em since no one is going to rob you anyways. Haha! I should probably go levitate around my fortress, eh?

I haven't played Morrowind for weeks... Except today... And it frickin' froze on me. :(   It's never been choppy, except for now. Maybe I just need to break it in again.

LOL! Actually, I ridicule those overblown ego substitutes, myself. The two house mods I use are relatively small, about 4-5 rooms, each. One gives me great bookshelf space, while the other has an auto-sort for alchemy ingredients, and a lot of tables/displays for weapons, items, etc. The first is really a beautiful piece of design: Abu's Retreat, outside Pelagiad. Well worth the download. The only real perks with either is the return-to teleport ring, that whisks you back, there. Who needs castles, when all you can do is walk through 'em and can't interact with anything? :D

I play on xbox, and I have an auto-sort for my alchemy ingredients... It's called "Overflow Lootbag in ALPHABETICAL ORDER!" Stupid mods...

Hehe... :p ;)

So move to the PC. I hear it has a few other useful features. ;) I have to say, too, that it's the mods which are making it for me, this time around.

By the way, as long as we're discussing housing mods, there's another modder who's done up a pair of real estate agents. They have 20 houses for sale of different size and character, along with a handful of interesting and difficult quests. Then there's a bank mod (complete with assassins who come for you when you neglect to pay off your loan) that sells repossessed houses, a small housing mod in a submarine, another in a balloon, and a third in a moored boat. Housing mods appear to very popular, and people who build 'em like to share 'em.
