trees and climbing
is there a way to climb trees?
or if you have acrobatics or whatever it is that makes your jump higher, can u get on the tree?
then if you are an archer u can jump on and kill the guys without getting hurt!

It's an interesting idea, but I've never tried it, and there are very few trees. I suspect you could levitate to the top of those tree-like mushrooms and back down again, however. Levitation is required to reach certain areas. And if you were really good at it, with a long duration to your spell, you could levitate up, and simply shoot melee monsters on the ground.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I hide in trees all the time. I levitate up into one and sit on the branches, just to look around. Or I find one next to a mountain, climb up the mountain a ways, and jump in. (I'm a good jumper. ) Sometimes I shoot animals, but I don't ever really use it as an ambush spot, because, like someone mentioned, no one ever comes by.
I'm an xboxer.

I've levitated into a tree several times when I've had about 6 spriggans attacking me all at once. It's much easier, since none of them can hit you. I just cast fireballs at them from my nice safe roost.
you know what they say about all work and no play...

it would be better for you if you cast a temporary but strong levitating spell as apposeed to constant effect weak one... you dont want to go super slow when flying, for one thing the bloody cliff racers catch you that much easier.

My ring of constant 8 points of levitation works fine. Plus I can take it off anytime I want. Opposed to if I want off of a 60 second levitation spell in 15 seconds.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

So he put it on a ring of constant effect, with some other spell and jumps around all the time. More points into the spell, I guess would be if you wanted to get some distance while in the air, but you would move slowly.
