I was just wondering if anyone else realized what a revolutionary idea this is. If you equip a Wizard-Slayer with the "Defender of East-Haven +2" flail (+20% physical resistance), and use the cloak of the sewers to turn him into a rat, his is immune to physical harm. Of course this works on every class that can use those items, so why the wizard slayer?
Well, at level 40 for the WS, he has an automatic 80% magic resistance, and with the Human Skin leather armor (I think +20% magic resistance, but maybe 25%), that comes to 100% magic resistance as well. Therefore, no physical damage, and no magic damage. The only thing that can hurt is imprison. Yes, you may take fire damage from weapons, but really, there aren't that many enemies with elemental weapons.
Would someone please point out anything wrong with this theory?

nothing, its actually well known series of exploits...
add hardiness the high level ability, and for clerics, add armor of faith for even stinkier resistance to physical damage...

I think the shapechange into a rat dents your ability to damage the enemy as well.
More seriously, the Hardiness can be Breached and possibly dispelled, and many of the 'Improved' enemies from the Tactics/Ascension mods fire off Lower Resistances as appropriate. Furthumore you are vulnerable to non magical damage e.g. Mind Flayer INT drain, dragon breath, Melissan's Unleash, Abazigal's electrical sword damage etc.

Umm..
Actually, I don't think DoE stacks with rat form, alas - nor does Jansen adventurewear. Hardiness and Armor of Faith do.
Essentially most spell and spell-like protections stack with rat form, whereas innate attributes (like Viconia's magic resist or most resists from gear do not. Generally - if it doesn't have an icon, it doesn't stack - has been my experience.
The rat form is very useful for a variety of situations, but it is by no means a Panacea. And, unfortunately that would probably invalidate Nyax's plan

I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.
There's a site somewhere that gives you all the cheap and cheasy combos of spells/items/etc. to make you basically invulnerable/able to cheasily kill EVERYTHING... I think UserUnfriendly runs it (No suprise here, as he is the undisputed Cheese master!x_x)
