Map markers disappearing!

The little markers that indicate areas of importance on my maps have disappeared! They were there up until I went to Umar Hills? Is this a bug or part of the game?

There is a button that deactivates the map markers.Did you accidentally press it ?

u have probably clicked on one of those buttons in tha map

The same button that deactivates the markers,also brings them back.

The lrft button in the top of the screen (the red circle)
