Becoming a Jedi?? (SPOILERS)

Ok, I just got this game a few days ago, and I am in the sewers, I just rescued big Z and got his loot, im going for the journals right now, since I missed them. I would like to know, when/what level do you become a jedi?? I have read the item thing in the walkthrough and I know I'm about to get a lightsaber once I do the swoop bike race. Spoilers are okay, just try to stay on topic. Thanks.

EDIT: Any help would be appreciated...

Ok, well, is it before or after you get the Light saber for your guy??

you will get your lightsaber as part of becoming a jedi. i dont want to ruin the game for you, but you need to escape taris before you can become a jedi

Spoiler

You will become a Jedi some time after the Swoop races, when you have left Taros.

You get a light sabre - as you know - after the Swoop races, but it isn't "your" light sabre, it belongs to somebody else.
But first you need to find a way to leave.
So you can't use the light sabre you find after the Swoop races.
