Protection from Undead scrolls...

Post by StillSouth »

Where the hell do you guys get all your prot from undead scrolls?? I found 3 at the adventurers mart (Maybe the scroll seller dude) and MAYBE 1 or 2 at a very rare merchant, yet everybody seems to use them like they grow on trees in the slums?

(I'm after them in SoA, not ToB.)

Thanks guys.

I have no idea where to get any. I never used one in either SOA or TOB. Sorry.

Protection from evil scrolls??

Why do you need many of these.
Once your mage has scribed them, memorise or get your cleric to pray for them.

They cant... Scribe is to WRITE a scroll, not to read it... thieves and bards can scribe scrolls with one of their high lvl abilities; Scribe Scrolls  :D ;)

edit: forgot bards :D

Consider looking at all the temples. That's where i get mine... although i never seem to use them. Temples have a ton of them.

i had like my entire party protected from undead in bodhi's dungeon the 2nd time and i went down there with drizzt and i had her on friggin near death for like 15 minutes and she would not die, i think its because my party had the protect of undead on or maybe it was a bug i dunno i just thought it was odd

Don't use protection from undead scrolls while with Bodhi or Kangaxx. They're scripted to talk to you after a certain amount of hit points are lost, and if they can't see you, they can't talk to you... thus halting the process.
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

The only time I used these scrolls was in Firkraags Dungeon. Protecting Mazzy then sending her into a room full of vampires equipped with Daystar... :D

I don't like prot. from undead period Just use the amulet of power and tank your best fighter. Generally this will draw fire away from everyone else, who can fire arrows or something. Negative plane prot. is short duration but just load up when you know you'll be fighting vamps. As has already been stated prot. from undead screws dialogues up in many cases and you have to wait for a loooong time! Some times it will never comeup!!!

Ever try to cast dispel magic on yourself when Bodhi is near death? Should drop your protection scroll shouldn't it

I think this strategy would work better if a character from the warrior class could use the AMULET OF POWER!!!!!!! Monks can use it and so can clerics however.....
