door glitch?

Post by smurf »

I have encountered an odd bug that is really annoying. There are some doors that i can't go through even though they are open and i've been through them before. I'm currently in the black raven monastary and i can't go into the library anymore. It's really annoying because i'd like to buy some things from the library monk but i can't get inside the room. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

well i dont know how to solve that thing but get newest patch... but there is a way to go there... if patching game dosent work...

in config enable cheats

then start the game and write ctrlaltdelete:enablecheatkeys() and then press ctrl and j so your party will teleport... where your mouse is...

I don't recommend using cheats. If you activate em, temptation is big to use other cheats too.
So, i recommend to get the patch, or then just try many times with different saving times. (save in some place with no reason and try to get trough, it could help)

Sometimes this happens because an NPC gets caught behind the door when it was opened, and due to poor collision detection, you cannot pass through the door. The best way to get around this is to reload or kill the NPC that is caught behind the door with an area effect attack.

With regards to the cheats thing, if you do hans() rather than enabling cheat keys the temptation isn't there. It's when you have cheat keys and you start telling yourself that a little bit of healing wouldn't matter much or getting lazy and teleporting past enemies, which is why I've disabled cheats entirely from mine, but if you just use the hans() cheat you shouldn't get carried away.
