You got nothing to do with it but...
GBsheers, You got nothing to do with it but I'm in the worst week of the year. Oh, my head is just filled with crap, I dont have much strenght left to reactivate my brain and start working for real.
I tried starting to work earlier, tried to work harder, tried to relax and let things go, but I'm on a really big stress rush now (the school is back online after the july vacations) and nothing here seems to have been fixed, altough many things have been fixed during vacation.
And worst, I'm pretty emotionally bad this week.
Any help?

Well - have had many bad weeks lately - so I don't really have much advice.
Other then to take one day at the time, and only "worry" (or rather think) about things you actually can do something about and forget the rest, because there is not much sence it worrying about stuff that you have no influence on.
If I were you - I'd just focus enegies into school work and pretty much try and work my way "away" from the rest of the problems - but then again - I'm very introversive so that "works" for me

Quite recently I was there myself. I'm going to start off by suggesting a few things I was advised to do by a naturopath friend. If you don't already, make sure you are eating properly, and that you are eating enough of the right things. I know this sounds deceptively simple, but actually eating breakfast makes a huge difference. I was having trouble getting food, especially breakfast, down which seriously amplified my entire downward spiral.
Also, be sure you are getting enough sleep. As is the case with food, a lack of sleep significantly worsens depression. Since eating properly (I can't stress enough how huge a difference eating breakfast makes) and getting enough sleep, I have felt *much* better.
Another thing you need to try to do, though it can be difficult, is to sort out in your mind the various things bringing you down. When it is all congealed into an amorphous mass you feel crushed, and it really seems you can't cope. However, when you are able to tease the various things troubling you apart, they are more readily identifiable and therefore easier to deal with. Put another way, being able to name the demons makes them less frightening and easier to defeat. Often solutions will even present themselves when you begin to do this.
Personally, I find one thing that really helps is writing. Writing fiction or poetry can be a powerful therapeutic release. In addition, writing it all down in a journal often provides insights and perspectives that are not immediately apparent prior to beginning the process of releasing it into the written word.
Once you have determined the issues confronting you, tackle them one by one, beginning with the most manageable...
Hope this helps at least a bit.. take care of yourself..

Well, Xandax, it unfortunately happens that the problems are schoolborn... I mean, the rest is fine - even the farm is doing nice. But the school... is really pissing me off.

DW, Sleep has become one of my concerns. I'm not sleeping very much and when I do I got dreams and disturbing concerns on my mind that prevent me from having nice sleep. And, of course, I have been waking up later and tired. I cut cafeine to 50% of my normal basis, and that helped a bit, cause I've slept better past night. And yes, I've been having breakfast in a hurry ever since mom and dad gone to the farm. Gotta wake up earlier...

It will... Thanks a lot DW and Xandax. Let me try some rest for starter...

Sounds to me as though you need to relax both your body and your mind before heading to bed
Different approaches work differently for different people, but..
I find it very helpful to have a long, hot bath before bed. Quite often I'll put some sort of relaxing essential oil into it that has aromatherapy properties. Lavender is great for this. *grins* I know women are more likely to do this, but no reason why you can't, and nobody needs to know
You might also want to look into getting a recording of some sort of sound you find soothing... rain is really nice.
In addition you may want to consider valarian root pills and similar herbal relaxants, and maybe also a cup of chamomile tea or something before finally hitting the sheets.
As far as breakfast goes, my problem was not so much a lack of time as a general lack of appetite upon wakening. So I would have a few cups of coffee (which is also an appetite suppresant btw), and then basically nothing until the afternoon..
My friend suggested that I give my blender a workout by preparing protein and fruit drinks. These are both fast to prepare and easy to get down. For the last few weeks I have been blending together bananas, soymilk (I hate cow's milk), berries, peaches, nectarines or oranges and a scoop of quality protein powder. You may want to consider giving this a try. It has made an amazing difference to my energy levels and general outlook on life

All the more reason to put enegies into it imo....
unless of course you have decided what you are doing isn't for you, then I'd advice to get out fast or you (like me) risk wasting presious years doing something that makes you unhappy.
I started studying economics once - years ago - because I'd thought this was the path for me - after a year or two I started getting doubts, but it wasn't until I had spend 4 miserable years studying that I figured out I should change. Luckily - I got some positive out of those 4 years also, but I still view it as four lost years in the grand scheeme, and that dosen't feel good.

i kinda know how ya feel
I've frankly had almost a half year of mostly bad and have one hint thats probly common... uncomfortable sleep and bad dreams are often caused by what state you fall asleep in, try reading or something that gets you involved. (t.v., vidio Games, ect. are my usual choices)

Heated eucalyptus oil can work well. Try relaxing one part of your body at a time. Consider some restful, positive music. Sex is good, too. Hell, sex is good for many things.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Somewhat off topic, but I suspect sex as a way to fall asleep varies with the individual. It usually makes me wide awake
Not that this is a reason to abstain or anything

I have a feeling if fable wasnt a moderator, he would be kicked pretty soon...
On topic.
I have been feeling the same way to. I barely eat anything, I have a hard time sleeping, and I am feeling very weak (especially in the morning), and I seriously am dreading what lies ahead of me in a few weeks (school). Always hated school, but at least this is high school and not junior high. As for you, I assume you are talking about college. And when DW mentioned the fruit/protein drinks, not only are they good for you, but they are good, although I havent had one in a few months. Anyways, hope you feel better.

DW, I've tryed some things yesterday... and yes, you are right, I'm very better today. Before going to bed, I washed my feet in hot water to relax my musculature, then I went to my bedroom, and kept 20 minutes of concentration, leavin thoughts to make theyr own way through my mind. Then I picked up a book, read a bit and slept. It was something bout 9 pm when I turned off the light and I woke up today, at 7:30 am, with my backs muscles in pain, but very better. I was late, but took the breakfast... and as I was in the car, heading to the school, I was eating an apple to complete my breakfast. (yes, driving... dont worry, I'll be fine). I also avoided all kind of coffe, and had some tea (erva cidreira, a calming herb) for today. I dont like bananas much, but soymilk may be cool. Lavender? I dunno, but I'm alergic to parfum (never using it myself) but It will not hurt to give it a look.dragon wench wrote:Sounds to me as though you need to relax both your body and your mind before heading to bedDifferent approaches work differently for different people, but..

I gotta ask for my dad to bring some leaves from the farm. We got some eucalyptus there, they might help out (if not bout my sleep, at least about my breathing sistem).

Yeah, but nope... I'm not into those, but they tempt me a lot...
Personas, thank you very much... I'm better, still tired, but better... And I'll try to post my progress here. *hugs*

It'll be legal in Canada soon enough
Going for a run or walk might help. Expending all the negative energy works wonders (for me at least).
