Level 18 Sorcerer... I took the "recommended" feats of empower and maximize spell..I hadn't seleceted any spells to be put into the slots but they were automatically selected anyway...My questions are these:
Does this now mean I get less level 9 spells than if I hadnt taken these feats?
And if I remove the spells from these feats in my spell book ( if I can ) will that then enable me to learn more level 9 spells...

Empowered and Maximize (amongts others) are feats, and not spells, and thus they have no influence on the amount of spells you recive at level ups.
They are meta-magic feats that you can use to augmentate your original spells with, so they last longer, do more damage etc. Meta-magic augmentated spells needs to be casted as a higher level but they aren't influencing your spell-gain at level ups.
