max exp?

is there a maximum exp you can have for yourself and your NPCs?

i seemed to have stopped increasing at 89,000 exp Level 7.

but i have yet to complete the final baldur's gate quest and finish of saverok.

89000 is the experience cap for BG1. If you install TotSC, this becomes 161000. Or you can download an exp cap remover.
