When creating a character, in the end you can choose a Diety, what effect has this in the game?

I would have to say with absolutely nothing, because you need to type the persons name in as opposed to selecting it from a list.

It is used so you can type in the diety you worship - as a tool for roleplaying.

Certain online modules are affected by your choice of diety.
