Greetings to You all.

For me IW2 is a hell of a lot of fun playing but it could be even more if i could play against another person. So I would be grateful if someone could tell me if it is possible to for two or more players to play against each other. I. e. to let two parties fight each other.

That would be pretty hard. I don't think there is a mod for this, so the only thing you could do is both make parties of three characters at most and then just attack each other. Only problem is that area effect partyfriendly spells won't work (since everybody's in the same party).

Long ago it was recommended that a PvP aka 'Duel Mode' be implemented in IWD2, but BIS never found the time to put one in place. That would have been super-cool.

That would have been amusing, a party versus party battle, 'twould have been good. Is there any chance of an IWD III, as in that case if we shout at them enough they might develop one? I understand Black Isle has slightly dissappeared but is there no rumours of taking over the IWD ideas by another company?

well... i havent heard any... but if IWD3 comes out there should be npc like in BG series and change to create whole party at one time... and change to go to easthaven.... and perhaps 2 ways end the game good and bad way.... so all evil people and good people would be happy....

They said IWD2 was the farewell for the IE, which if you ask me was idiotic marketing pressure since IE games sold so well. I hope someone snaps up the license because I would love another IE game, using 3E rules with less bugs than IWD2 (*mutters about how Dragon's Eye is a pain in the $%# unless done in an exact and precise order*)

So there is a possibility of it being continued, or at least a game similar to it? At least there's some hope. Have you heard of this new game coming out, the name escapes me. It sounds alright, although you are limited to three pre-created characters and the plot-line is written by R.A.Salvatore who I cannot stand. I tried one of his books and gave up. I may rent it or get it out of the library to try but I'm not expecting much. We need another IWD II-esque game as the whole Targos bit I've done too many times and it starts to wear on you.

Exactly, I don't like pre-generated characters, it gives you no freedom. And the plot is going to be awful you can just see it. Anyone who creates a Drow that is Lawful Good should immediately be banned from writing novels, short stories or any other type of literature. You can just tell it's going to be a "Smite thee, Evil-doer" type of plot, rather than a pick-your-character's-alignment-and-decide-your-own-motivation plot. Ah well.

yep i saw that movie and those screens... i would say it would look good... but when it comes out i wont buy it.... like talyn and that other guy i want to create your own party... and fighter, rogue and sorcerer is not intressting party... and it is only console game as far as i know...
