BG4evadude, welcome to the forums. I've changed the title of this thread. You'll find that "Help!!!!!" doesn't really cut it, here. ;) Please usually ignore such posts. With a title that reflects your needs, you'll usually get results.

Keep this in mind in the future. And once again, welcome to GameBanshee.

Dual at the level which gets you the bonus to hit or damage. I.e. 9, 12, or 15. However dualling at level 15 means that your character would be stuck as a mage for most of the rest of SoA; therefore is only useful with ToB.

Hence 9 would be for mages who like more HP and slightly better chances of hitting anything; 12 for fighters who like some magic protections on hand.

Ah, a regular topic

You get an extra weapons * every 3 levels, HP do not increase greatly after 9, at level 13, you get an extra 1/2 attack per round.

So, 9,12 and 13 are logical levels to dual. I would dual at 9 if you don't have ToB installed, 12 or 13 if you do.

But, it's your choice, so please yourself

dual at level 9 if you want to use the char as a primary spellcaster who will seldomly enter melee, and will be buff himself up everytime it happens

dual at level 13 if you want a powerfull (read: unstoppable) frontliner with extra protections and buffs, and plan on having someone else for mage spellcasting.

after playing both, i highly recommend the kensai 13/mage.

A minor note...

Fwiw, for money, a Kensai/mage multi (easy with SK) is pretty cool. I just hacked Edwin into that, it actually suits him rather well, I think.
