How do you get the cheat console?

I've looked at a lot of websites that tell me how to get the cheat console. they all say the same thing about how im supposed to "modify my baldur.ini file by adding the line "'Debug Mode=1'." How the heck do i do that.

plzzzzzzzz help.

Well... modify your baldur.ini file! Go to the BG folder (prolly C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BG2 - SoA), find the baldur.ini file and open it with notepad. Then, under the [Program Options] tab (fist tab i think), add the line Debug Mode=1. Then press Ctrl+Space ingame to bring up the console.

Thanx for your help. Turns out that i had my folder view settings set to "tiles" instead of "details" so i couldn't see the specific .ini file. thanx again for your help.

Just so you know, you open it with CTRL+SPACE not CTRL+TAB.
