Well how ever bad it is he is still alive, but how cool would it have been if he had caught Zaknafein as well and brought him back but he's probabley on Elistre's(sp?) home plane.
I think it was in Sojourn, that Drizzt had a dream where Zaknafien appeared and told him that he was at peace and to get on with his life and not worry about "what might have been" since his slaying and undeath as a spirit-wraith. If that was the case, do you think Drizzt would have wanted to resurrect his father from whatever the Drow version of Heaven is?. The last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has explored this theme a little bit since it moved to UPN; the idea that bringing someone back from the dead isn't always good for the departed (if they've gone to Hell, the world of the living may be favourable, but for someone who was in Heaven/Valhalla/Stovokor, life pales in comparison to death).
Jesus saves! And takes half damage!
If brute force doesn't work, you're not using enough.
wulfgar was taken to the abyss by a yochlol in the underdark and is tortured endlessly by errtu a demon thing and of course drizzt and friends kill errtu and free him
