The best longblades are Hopesfire and True Flame. You get them in the Tribunal quest.

I don't use axes, so I can't help there.

There isn't one. If you've played the game, you know that there are many different kinds of damage. A weapon with poor basic damage may also paralyze and poison its victim. Another weapon does great basic damage, but is very slow to hit, while a third absorbs fatigue, causing its victim to get in fewer swings. A fourth does frost, fire or shock damage--or maybe a little of each. If you're lucky, they may also cast a shield of the same element around you, just in case your opponent has Reflect running.

So as I said, there's no real answer to your question. It depends on what you favor, your armor, your opponent, etc. Too many factors.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Daedric War Axe does the most damage without enchantments, and you can add pretty hefty spells to it, so that seems like what you are asking. Without enchantments: Daedric war axe. best possible enchantments (i think... maybe ebony would be better): Daedric war axe.

Most raw damage without encahntments: Trueflame
Most raw damage enchantments included (not including ones you make yourself): Grave Digger.

Best long blade is Fury!

I personally use Trueflame as my longblade. It strikes slowly, but deals a lot of damage per hit.

What the...?! Fury is maybe the best sword to do damage... ON YOURSELF! I remember when I got it... I glanced at the things it did, not looking at whom it did the things to, and I was like, "This is a cool sword." So I used it for a while. And I noticed myself getting weaker and I was like, "WTFudge?" So yeah, I looked at it again and noticed it hurts the weilder, so I sold it right then and there.
I'm an xboxer.
