Help with amulet's special power...

Post by Ooza Yuuna »

Please excuse the ignorace of this question, but I'm unable to figure out to use the Houndstooth collar's spell-like ability. It's supposed to grant the wearer the ability to cast Beast Claw 1/day, but I can't figure out how to activate the ability. I'm also assuming that I'd be able to place this ability into a quick slot, but I can not figure out how to do that, if it's even possible at all. Any help would be horrendously and magnificently appreciated.

You did make a slot for item abilities in your equipped character's task bar, correct? You can right-click on one of those 4-pointed star icons, and left-click on what looks like a rectangular backpack. This is the "Item special abilities" slot.

The thing with IWD2's character bar is that they are not set for each character class, since practically any character combination can be achieved. In that case, each character's set of icons must be set to your preferences, such as item, ability, or spellcasting slots.

Does this help?

Galuf,
Thank you very much! I don't know how many times I tried doing exactly what you described without actually doing what you described. It was just a matter of not L-clicking the rectangular backpack icon instead of R-clicking, which I had been doing. So, yes, your advice was quite helpful. I thank you eternally.
