How in the world can you come back to Ice Temple from there?
And if you are going to post Spoilers, put them in black font in case some one doesn't want to read it, it's easier to skip.
SPOILER

I know for a fact you can come back. Off hand I thinks its like up to chapter four or around the point where you enter the underdark at the Black Raven Monestary.
Oh, I see. I thought you meant I could come back whenever I want. I'm in the Fell Wood right now, so probably I'll finish that, gain at least one more level and check out that Game Room again if it's really possible... (I MUST do that, I MUST...)

I see you don't really share the same op :) It would be the best to try it, but since I'm not there yet, I can't check it :( If any of you have a saved game from around that stage, would you do it for me so that I can be sure how far I can go without missing the chance to come back? Thanks so much, it would be a great help!

You can't go back to the ice tempel from fell wood i think, you can only go back to areas on the same world map. I dont remember wich world map the ice tempel is on but im not sure it is the same map as fell wood. (don't look at the world map to much when i play the game)

Well, it's ok if I can go back through the village, I didn't mean going back to that area straigth from the Wood. I just hope that the way back won't be blocked once I open the way forward from the Wood...

Do a search on this sites foreum for battle squares, you'll find some really neat threads, I think I have a few. Someone likely has a table for it.
S P O I L E R
undefined Mace Of Disruption.
undefinedYou can go back up till the end of chapter four. After parting on Oswalds ship you can no longer return to IceTemple. I know you go from Black Raven to the UnderDark to the Citadel to the skyship. I could be wrong about some of this(BS). But I know for a fact that you can go back up top the point when you first enter the underdark from the Black RavenM. (Where the Golleums/druegar are)Thanks K

Parting on Oswald's ship...? Oswald has already left with Nate, no idea where he is now... But it's enough for me to know that I can return after completing the Fell Wood quest. Maybe I'll be strong enough by that time to beat all of thoses MONSTERS!!! *Grunting, head steaming, eyes rolling madly, looking very furious*

Hey Brynn,

Just a quick post here.

I went through the entire 10 levels of the battle squares using my Paladin (main tank for me). Basically, I had him loaded with healing potions and sent him in. After each rank was finished I'd go through all the healing from my cleric etc (run off to Oswald and buy more healing potions if needed) and then have my bard Haste my Paladin just before going into the next rank just to help with the initial creatues.

Also, I fought in reverse order, meaning that I would take on Rank 1 part 5, then part 4, part three etc etc This just helped as my guy would either be low on health or healing potions closer to the end, so I wanted to have to fight less baddies.

As I mentioned in another forum post, eventually in the battle squares (can't remember what rank) I go the Mace of Disruption as a reward. THAT made all the difference, now I was killing these things left, right and centre without a problem.

Just a couple ideas there.
It’s the sensible, logical thing to do, of course, which is why we don’t do it.

Hi there!

Yeah, I did the ranks (all four I managed to complete :) ) in reverse order, too. My problem is that infinite stock of healing potions are not enough, I also have to be quick (OK, haste will work) and effective to finish them off in 60 secs. What lvl was your paladin? I'm trying my celric (lvl 11-12, I guess), she has all the healing and strength boosting spells at hand, but hasn't managed to succeed in rank 5 so far... :( Maybe effectiveness rewards more than defence? Maybe my fighter with better AC and damage would do better even without magic damage...?

well... here is one char that can do it all by him/her self... Bard... but youl need to use.. bard songs and lingerine song thing... play all songs.. 20 times ballad of 3 heroes... 10 times tymoras luck and 1 time fear and that other song wich has blue circle in its symbol.. and armor of sith 20-40 times... High streght helps a lot too... with this way it was like hot knife through butter...

But then you still got this question.. did black isle plan that feat used by that way or not? becuse it works in 2.01 patch... we shall perhaps never know...

but how to sing so many songs and get all bonusses... well pause the game start singing and when you have sang all songs... unpause.. and start kicking some butt...

i am not saying that this is not cheating.. and i dont comand you to do this... you can do it or not to do... the bard need to have 11 bard levels and LINGERINE SONG FEAT..
_________

How can you say no to this face? :D

But seriusly.. Party without Bard is not party...

I can understand that SYM forum.. mentally 6 year old people is just running around with scissors on their hand.

I try (for role playing purposes and for expearimentation), to test my whole party against it. Some examples I've had ({only played through once normal mode and once heart of fury with same party}) are I had a shield dwarf fighter8/clericxx. He has great because of the healing. Second a paladin. Speaks for it self. I also had a Bard-multi-ranger. She was effective. I even tried my Druid who did very bad, but had a lot of healing. All goood but for fun I like to try and mix it up. Usually try my charactors against each other at this point. Finding who is the best warrior with a handi cap of course.
Some cheese: you still can get the square if the creature teleports to your party in isolation room.
Cheese The Sequeal Mace of Disruption.

Doesn't that just suck that the drownded undead zombies are immune.

I'm becoming more and more sure that I'm doing sg wrong. I tried my cleric (lvl 11 or 12), she did the best b/c I had her cast Glyp of Warding at the middle of the battle square so when the enemies appeared they took some electric damage immediately. But when it comes to melee fighting, she makes little damage but takes a lot (even with magical armors on). Same goes for my paladin and dwarf fighter. Maybe sg's wrong with their ACs? They're all wearing plate armor, the paladin has a great sword equipped, and the fighter wields the Executioner's Wife (double axe). Oh, and the cleric, she holds a morningstar that has additional fire damage.

Another cheese thoe very meager unless played just right.
You can summon one or two creatures, (I prefer Bonegaurds) and keep them on the outer circle of the squares in the battle square arena. I f they attack or leave the outer circle they will be teleported away. Basically just use them if possible to distract your enemy by running around and trying!?! to attract there attention. Very meager but it could help with a battle or two

That's exactly what I was trying to do with my cleric, but the summoned creatures were teleported occasionallly, no matter where they were positioned! Sometimes they were left for several rounds (one of them helped me to kill two enemies), sometimes they were teleported away immediately, what's more, the enemy followed them to the side chamber ignoring me completely. So it took 60 secs to follow him there, I could deal a few points of damage and then the time was over :( So I gave up on summoning eventually!
