There's not much out there that is multiplayer on the PS2 other than BG DA and BG DAII and Champions of Norrath that is worth playing. I liked Gauntlet Dark Legacy but it is really more like an arcade game than an RPG.

If you are looking for single player there are others, but they will be different as they are based on a different game engine.

I have not played any, but here are a few that come to mind:
Final Fantasy series
Rygar
Dark Cloud
Drakengard
Deus Ex
Shadow Hearts
Summoner (I played the demo for Summoner 2, I liked it)

Heck search Sony:

I would actually recomend Championns of Norrath first and formost if you want a console experience similar but superior to BG: DAII. But aside from that you could try BG: DA or Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. the BG games and FO use basically the same exact engine, but Champions uses a highly modified engine that I thin is superior. I wouldn't really recommend the final fantasy series because it's a completely different type of game. I would however reccommend either of the summoner games. They should have a similar look and feel to BG: DA II but with more a RP aspect. And if you've got a computer, why not play the real BG games. They're infinitely better then their console cousins, but there's hardly a resemblance if at all.

I'm not sure why you said "apart from Champions of Norrath", but it is very similar. If you don't know, it has a few issues with the game locking up. If you do get it, save often.

When I had it, I never had issues of any sort. My friend however did run into the Kittens problem that plagues people from time to time. And about the other games I mentioned BG :D A and FO:BoS they use the same exact engine as BG :D II it's just a different game with a few new things added to each.

First of all why was a post from august resurrected? And second of all I hope you're refering to the BG Dark Alliance not the original BG for PC.

If you like BG2, this thread shouldn't be in the Dark Alliance forum. But it shouldn't be in the BG2 area, either, since it's about finding other, similar games. ;) So I'm moving it to the RPG Discussions forum.

Uh, ok, if you insist

This post seems pretty split between PS2 and PC versions of Baldur's Gate.

I think we crossed over a bit.

Do what you think is best.
