Seeking walkthrough (MAJOR SPOILER)

Post by HiRo11er »

I have now reached a point with my latest character, where I am stuck on several quests at once. (Note: it's fun that I can still be doing things in the game that i have never done before, even though I've been playing the game for more than a year...) First of all, I'm trying to play through mournhold (bloodmoon?), and I'm stuck now after I created the ash storms for almalexia. Helseth tells me to talk to the 'goddess' about who you can trust, but almalexia doesn't have any response like that, or anything like it. Instead, she sends me on weird missions. Now, she wants me to find her missing hand, salas valor, and all she tells me is that he's somewhere in the sewers. I can't find him! Can someone tell me where he is, and if I'm doing the right missions for finishing the main quest?
How about telling me where hopesfire and trueflame (?) are, as I've heard they're to be found in mournhold, as well?

Furthermore, I'm completely stumped on the pilgrimage to mount kand. I'm supposed to go there and riddle three daedra, just like vivec. The problem is, I can't find the daedra! I've touched the shrine in the bottom of the cave, but all it does is tell me the story of vivec. Am I supposed to donate something first? I need to get this done because I really want to advance in the temple. Help would be appreciated.

Lastly, I've managed to get fairly high in telvanni, but in order to get fast eddie to become my mouth i need to give him a silver staff of peace. Unofrtunately, I seem to have misplaced mine somewhere along the way. Is there anywhere I can buy one, or find one? I would like to become the leader of telvanni too... :-)
So, I hope someone can come to my aid with at least one of these pickles????

Just read the Tribunal walkthrough here.

Salas Valor is in the Godsreach area. Just talk to anyone in High Ordinator armor and eventually you'll find him.

The "whom you may trust" is, IIRC, not really a quest, but advice available through Barenziah. In any case, Helseth is asking to to earn Almalexia's trust a.k.a. spying on her.

Trueflame is part of the Tribunal mainquest. Again follow the walkthrough on this very site. Hopesfire is Almalexia's weapon. You get it at the end of the main quest.

The three daedra... I assume you killed the three atronachs in the cave? You are actually supposed to talk to them and answer their riddles after which you go to the shrine and pray. The riddles are pretty common and you should have heard of them or variations, but if you are not sure just pick up a copy of The Yellow Book of Riddles, the answers are there.

It is kind of hard to find a specific enchanted weapon. Maybe you could go around looking for enchanters, or just using the console. Try 'player -> additem "silver staff of peace" 1', if it doesn't work just look up the staff's ID in the Construction Set under weapons category.

All right, I'm anxious to get started on mournhold again...

Regarding the daedra-quest for the temple, I think you're right; those atronarchs are history. My problem is, I did that a long time ago, figured "I'll just get back to it", and did about 20 levels worth of other stuff... I will not go back to such an early save! :(
About the staff, I'm on the box so I can't use any console cheats. Also, I can't enchant a silver staff with the same abilities and call it a staff of peace, the computer won't accept it. SO, I'm stuck in yet another pickle.

Any other advice?

The atronachs respawn. Go back to the cave again, but don't be so trigger happy this time.

When I suggested you go to an enchanted, I was suggesting BUYING an enchanted item, not enchanting one yourself.

all right, I'll go back... But for the record, talking to storm atronarchs is not my first thought when I see them... ;)

I've been checking out a few enchanters, but I haven't seen it for sale yet. I just hope it's not a unique item... I'll keep on truckin', though...

Don't worry. We all screw that one up the first time.

You can get a Staff of Peace from the following people, you can kill them because they are not needed in the Main Quest:

Galar Rothan: Sadrith Mora, Telvanni Council House, Interior
Crulius Pontanian: Moonmoth Legion Fort, Interior
Eldrilu Dalen: Vos, Vos Chapel
Alenus Vendu: Tel Vos, Services Tower
Uvele Berendas: Indarys Manor, Berendas' House
Dileno Iloran: Vivec, High Fane
