Hey, First off, I would just like to ask everyone who has gotten this far to read the whole way through, this is not the same XP problem that was brought up before. I just bought a new P4 3.2 ghz comp w/ 1 gb of ram an Ati radeon x300 128mb card..... I want to play Fallout 2. However, whenever
I play aqnd i am on the world map, my character moves at insane speed and days pass in abouot 2 seconds... this totally kills my chances for random and special encounters, which are an integral part of the fun of Fallout. Thoughts??? Aid??? Sympathy??? Ill take any of these but prefer the first 2..
Dankeschoen.

if it annoys you, try a program to slow down the processor. technically, if the days are going past so quickly - and they only do while you're moving - then there shouldn't be any less encounters, just less of a gap between them in real time. it may make things confusing, especiallly if you want to change destinations during the journey, but it shouldn't reduce your encounters. the game is running fast, it's not some sort of bug, by the sound of it.

I've used this one to play some old ultimas and such... you can give it a try: http://www.hpaa.com/moslo/
