Where can I get some more gold. I'm in chapter 2 and have done the following quests:
De'Arnise keep
Xzar/ harper quest
Den of Seven veils
Slaver Quest
Circus
I'm drawing on a blank on what quest i can still do in c this chapter and I don't have enough money for for the theives yet(I spent it all on the Robe of Venca and stuff).

Head for the hills: the Umar Hills and the Windspear Hills. You should have received both of these quests by now (if not, try Lord Firkraag in the Copper Coronet and go to the city gates to see Delon.) There is also the Trademeet quest.
Plus there are many quests in town, including the Planar Sphere (once you have Valygar), the bullies in the Sea's Bounty, the quests in the Graveyard, etc. Keep exploring. There's lots yet to do even if (like me) you are not willing to take on liches or the slaver lords (in the Temple area) in chapter 2.

You could also try the

Temple quests,
Trademeet, Djjini, Cernd and Druid Grove quests, (talk to Flydian - City Gates)
Korgans quest (Copper Coronet),
the Bridge District skinner quest,
Renal Bloodscalp (Docks) then Mae'Var then Edwin
Amalas duel (Copper Coronet)
Anomen (Copper Coronet)
Quest for Valygar (Government Council of Six(Tolgerias))
Raelis Shae (Five Flagons - Bridge District)
Temple Ruins (leave by Umar Hills)

This is the beauty of this game - LOADS to do!! :D :D :D

You could also try going the Docks. There you cand do Renal Bloodscalp's quest which is really not that hard to accomplish. You can do it pretty quick too,and the best part is when you finish it you are rewarded with 10k gold and a nice short sword.

I use my thief. I drink a master thievery potion and then steal and sell expensive items to the bartender at Mae'Var's guildhouse in the docks district. Rogue Stones work well.

Head down to the sewers (Temple District) and kill the group of people at the top of the map. Go sell all their stuff to Rodger the Fence for 8K+ gold! I was a "good" character, so that may make a difference when seeling, but it's cheap and easy coin. Plus there's some good items too, so you can load up with that if oyu prefer (Full Plate +1, etc).

Go to Trademeet. If you do both of the main quests there, you'll get something like 17500 IIRC and it's really not that difficult. In fact, it's very easy, you don't practically have to do anything, just kill a couple of rakshasas.
Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

rakshasas aren't that easy (I found out the non-magical weapons way)
the docks quest is by far the easiest big reward quest in the game (just make sure your mage has protection from normal weapons and he/she can kick maevar in no time by him/herself)
@Robin Hood - I especially like how Prince John(eleth) fits in your signature

I am taking my time through Chapter 2 this time to finish all the quests. I have still got quite a lot to do and have ammassed over 70,000 without thieving (I have no thief!) :D

The quests I have completed are:

Circus
Trademeet
Dao Genies
Cernds Child
Slaves
De'Arnise Keep
Sewer Maze
Renal Bloodscalp
Mae'Var/Edwin
Xzar and Montaron
Renfeld
Ployers Curse
Serial Skinner
Raelis Shae/Haer-Dalis
Guardian Tellwyns Quests
Sarles The Sculptor
and others

I still have the Umar and Windspear Hills, Planar Sphere, Planar Prison, Cult of the Eyeless, Temple Ruins and Shadow Dungeon and all the NPC quests except Nalia and Cernd.

I haven't even been to all of Athkatla yet....LOADS to do before Chapter 3! :D :D
