who to drop in Tob for Sarevok?
currently i have this party
cavalier PC crom faeyr
imoen thief/mage staff of the magi
anomen cleric using flail of ages
keldorn inquisitor using carsomyr
mazzy fighter using gesen bow
cernd shapeshifter using staff of the woodlands
im torn between dropping cernd or mazzy
if i drop mazzy i loose my ranged attacker, and cernd have all those spiffy druid spells, and will be a must against the hordes of mages that is said to populate tob.

hmmm, i think ill wait to see what new abilities druids get. im thinking i should have kept jaheira, since im not using cernd's werewolf ability.
an avenger druid would have been much more usefull than a shapeshifter.
and im wondering why almost all the werewolfies you meet are wearing armor, and still can shift..where a shapeshifter may not.
hmmm, have anyone considered dualing sarevok into a mage?..with his 17 int, he can do it..and since he wields a crossbow he is also a ranged attacker..then dual him and slap the bladesinger chain on him to make him even more versatile..though it would take quite a while to level him up

I wouldn't drop any of them for Sarevok. He is...evil. Evil characters are bad in BG2. They are only satisfied if your rep. is 0, they often argue with the rest of your party which results in asskicking..
So my advice would be NOT to drop any one in order to get Sarevok into your group. But if you get along with 'evil' characters and that is your playing-style then no problem...

Wisdom is only possessed by the learned...
Of course Kid, it would also make the lore on the Sword of Chaos+2 FUBAR. Example:Originally posted by KidD01:
Just a side question here, have anyone ever try to name their char Sarevok ? If you do I wonder what happen when you use it for ToB ?
Sarevok's Sword of Chaos
The blade of Sarevok, brother of Sarevok used in the battle they fought in faraway Baldur's Gate. Sarevok prevailed, destroying Sarevok's plans and rescuing the Sword Coast from the brink of war. The sword itself defies identification, likely forged specifically for Sarevok to best focus the infernal energy he hoped to control. Much of its power died with him.
Confusing, no?
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I'm running two games right now, one evil and one good.
Good:
Keldorn
Minsc
Sorceror
Aerie
Jaheira
Imoen
Have no clue who to drop. Minsc I should keep for roleplaying perpose, but he is damn annoying (he also has FoA/Corm Faeyr). Jaheira is current romance, maybe if a bug occurs I will drop her. But I should also keep her from a rolepaying perspective. Keldorn has Carsomyr. Aerie is a spell casting powerhouse. Arrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!
Evil:
Monk
Korgan
Viconia
Edwin
Jan
Jaheira
Going to drop Jaheira for Imoen. Then either she or Jan for Saervok. Much easier.

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
It would be cool if it did become more powerful, but I think players should be given a chance to get the sword back if they have abandoned it (as most will have done before news of TOB).

well, you can always edit it in with shadowkeeper if you forgot it.
but to go back to the thread, ive decided to ditch cernd...he have the lousiest killrate in the party..and ive already got a clerical caster with sir anomen. and the max 5 summoned creatures is taking a lot of fun out of summoning...anomen can easilly take that role with summoning skeleton warriors.
so with sarevok taking cernd's place, ill get another competent tank..who will use the silver sword to use with whirlwind attack..10 attacks with a 25% chance for instadeath each hit, if the opponent fails a save...and start the battle with a spelltrigger holding greater malison..and supporting him with fingers of death. and having the soul reaver for those baddies who needs +4 to be hit.

While most people wouldn't do this... I used shadowkeeper to increase minsc's wisdom to 17 then boom! Dual classed into Cleric Then you have the power of a ranger/cleric and minsc's classic humour all in one
I know that minsc with wisdom of 17 is kinda unrealistic, but hey! It's all in good fun!
Then theres no need for a druid or cleric, just have them both in one

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.
