LV.1 (haha)

Alter table. Its empty.

I put the bell down, it rings. I pick it back up, it rings again.
I put the candle on the table. Pick it back up.
Put the book down. Pick it back up.
Then put the bell back down. Nothing happens.

No matter what I do with these three items nothing seems to happen, I recall doing it before however. Any ideas? (Am I supposed to actually light the candle somehow?)

Just drop the 3 items on the table, and a "test" will pop. Then you just have to answer it correctly in order to proceed the ritual.

You do have to light the candle, with the tinderbox.

The tinderbox is to light the kitchen fires. Just put the Candle, Bell and Holy book on the altar, make sure you visited the priest in the NE corner (first light the kitchen fires, and find the green and blue wardstone!), search the sarcophagus and then do the ritual. Make sure to prepare for combat before you end the ritual

Dunno if kitchen fire has actually anything to actually do with the altar thing. Isn't it just for getting that ghost to come and give the slippers tip?

well

i did this recently...

i lit the kitchen fires....

then i put the items on the alter in order depeding on the ritual note (Book, Bell, Candel) then a question/diolog pops up asking what to do now. you ring the bell twice open the book, light the candel, ring the bell i think

maybe Light candel and book are other way round *shrug*
